Why are eBay entitled to charge us the 3.5% that normally went to paypal ?

Why are eBay entitled to charge us the 3.5% that normally went to paypal ?-

As It appears paypal is no longer used . The 3.5 % wasn't such a bad deal with paypal as it provided the rapid safe  exchange of money from buyer to seller. Instead what we have now is a delay in payment for 5 days in my case until we see the money just so eBay can get their pound of flesh straight away which is now 13.5% instead of 10% . And the buyer has to wait too because discerning sellers want to see payment in their pockets before releasing goods despite eBay's claim "the buyer SAYS he has paid so you can go ahead and ship the goods. "

So the whole process takes  about 5 days rather than a few minutes just so eBay can get their final fee of now 13.5% rather than the 10%, straight away.

I would expect an eBay schill to blame everyone other than eBay for any delay in posting items

How original

Someone does not like being given factual information and so calls those giving it names

Sorry to burst your bubble, but nobody from or paid by eBay even reads members posts here

Not even yours

AND     NOW   TAKES     4     OR     5      DAYS     INSTEAD    OF    BEING     INSTANTANEOUS   PLUS    ANOTHER    5

DAYS    IF    YOU   DECIDE   TO    ACTUALLY      YOU  WANT   THE   MONEY  IN YOUR    PAYPAL   ACCOUNT .

A      9    OR   10    DAY    TURN   AROUND  INSTEAD    OF    MINUTES  IS    NOT    WHAT  I    WOULD   CALL   " A   SERVICE "   UNLESS   YOU   MEAN   "A    REALLY   POOR   SERVICE "

You really need to figure it out for your self.   as soon as your late shipment metrics tick over, you will no longer be permitted to sell.

Discerning/irresponsible  or just plain dumb, no amount of posts on these forums is going to make one scrap of difference.

My view is that a "discerning" seller waits until they are actually paid rather than rely on eBays advice that "the buyer says he has paid " which I got the other day.

Your post contains a blatant error.    Which is probably why it has been kudoed by  "wink"

A discerning seller would read the ebay message correctly.

Great news, your item has sold and the buyer has paid.

I see you have listed further items,  if you are so unhappy about Ebay why,  wouldn't it be better to go elsewhere,  will this result in just more complaints from you
