Why Can't I list an item as a buy it now only. Not as an auction item

The default listing format may be showing as auction, but there should be a tab at the top of the format section which says "fixed price" and if you switch to that you'll be able to create a Buy It Now listing. (This is for the advanced listing format - I'm not very familiar with the quick listing tool, but if this option or feature is missing, look for a link to switch to the advanced listing tool).

From memory there is a tab in the quick lister for fixed price.

I am afraid I find this new format extremely difficult and user unfriendly. I know of other people now selling on Facebook because of this and ebay's charging commission on postage.
