Why is it being made compulsory for sellers to change to managed funds, stating that ability to relist or revise or create new listings will be blocked if we do not change over.
Surely you should have the choice to remain with paypal

Nope nada no choice as ebay has gone with a newbie Adyen but buyers can still pay with PayPal so go the buyers.

ebay have changed the rules. Their game, their rules.

Basically because eBay no longer own Paypal, so what benefit is it to use them, no financial gain to eBay.
It looks like PP will be available for checking out on eBay until mid 2023

If eBay remove it as a payment option for buyers Kat, it could have a dramatic effect on their bottom line I believe. Paypal for me covers nearly all my on-line purchases/bills now.
Talk about biting the hand that feeds you...........

EBay will continue to let customers use PayPal as an option for checking out until July 2023, but most of eBay's payments will be processed by Adyen by 2021.
Padi - Adyen will be the new PPal I guess, they are a very young company

That may be me gone then.
I like paypal because it is available on a hugely increasing number of sites. Just about every purchase I make nowadays, I use paypal.
If I make a donation to an overseas charity, I can usually use paypal.
I understand sellers may be on managed payments but I don't see why that should affect the payment options to buyers. I've seen the posts here though that show that paypal may be gone by July 2023.
If they stop buyers from using paypal, I'd predict that in the short term, sales will fall off a lot. I don't know about anyone else but I personally would not be prepared to open yet another financial account just to buy some little $10 item.
The easier you make it for buyers, the better. The more hoops they have to jump through, the more likely they will click out.
