You have had significant sales over the last 12 months and nobody is forcing you to list here.
As you say, there are many sites that don't charge for listing and some that don't charge for sales. Whether or not you choose to question a business model that doesn't generate any revenue, why aren't you listing there? Lack of traffic maybe?

I am not a business only a person trying to downsize my personal unused items.
Ebay is the only auction site in Australia that charges listing fees and a lots don't even charge fvf fees either.
When ebay started in Australia it was free to list with very low fvf.
Things have changed here over last 5 years and not for the better.
Its all about greed so why as sellers should we not want more - ebay charge us fees on everything after a sale so essentially we are already paying to list the item in one way or another. They doubled the fvf last year or has eveyone forgotten that already.
"which is why I want my free listings" . . . . sorry, but you do get 40 free listings per month. The 'extra' free listings are a gift from eBay when they offer them, they are not a right and they are not yours unless eBay offer them.
As for you being "only a person trying to downsize my personal unused items" . . . . . then why not just sell just 40 of your 'New' DVDs per month. With the auto-relist feature you could list at the start of the month and relist unsold items twice more in the month for free.

It's a bugga when track record bites, hey?
Of course, they could buy heaps of DVDs that they decide not to watch......

Your 'about me' page says otherwise I'm afraid

"We have been selling quality used clothing, brand cosmetics, sexy imported lingerie, costume jewellery and various miscellaneous items for the past 8 years on many different auction sites" . . . . . . I bet they have all been personal unused items!

Not nice to attack people in what is suppose to be a community forum.
lizzy did say they use to have a store here and probably haven't updated their "about me" info for years.
A lot of us list/sell items for family and friends who do not have/own or know how to use a computer. I know I do.
You can't sell an item until you have a buyer no matter how many free listings you use, even with the 3 auto relists. So I wait for my 40 free to refresh each month and cross fingers that non store owners get thrown a few extra crumbs.

It wishes everyone a safe, prosperous 2014....
A few questions though\
The current listings and the current feedback displayed in the Me Page, does this update automatically, or does it have to be done manually?
Also,
This line "Feedback is left for buyers only after we receive yours as we feel that the transaction is not complete until we know you have received your items."
If the transaction is completed once you know a customer has received their item, if they PM you to let you know that it has arrived, if that is your only concern, why isn't that sufficient information to satisfy you?
and Crikey, that's an awful lot of unused DVDs for a personal collection, are they collector items or something? I just collect comic books

If you do that, be careful; of the tax man. If its in your name, he considers it to be your income. Recall that the mandatory reporting levels imoposed on eBay atm are $10,000 p/a - eBay won't know which items are yours and which are your mothers....probably better to teach your mates how to use eBay themselves, I reckon, or maybe yiou could set up the listings for them yourself on their accounts if its an ongoing thing.
Or maybe I'm just a hard ass
LOL
Made my brother have his own account and he only listed three things - I talked him through setting up the listings though (he lives a long way away - so phone was more practical than a visit)
I listed one thing for somone else once - sooo many hassles, with them asking questions I had no idea how to answer to then being responsible for their claims etc about the item - too hard I reckon.
but good it works for you.
Then there was that guy not long ago who listed on behalf of his mate - when something sold, he told his mate so he could post em etc - but the mate never did - so guess who's account got trashed. and as the bloke trusted his mate, he passed on the monies collected too - before all the INR started rolling in - never saw his mate or his moiney again, and last I hears, eBay and PayPal shut his accounts down, wouldn't even give him a bit of leeway to try and work through what was happenning, no room to rectify the money (a few thousand i believe) was just "pay up now or get out".

aren't we getting a little off subject here? picking on lizzy... isn't the forum to help other ebayers / community spirit etc.
I agree with many points on this thread I had hassles with selling for others swore I'd never do it again, but have sold the odd item for friends for various reasons.
I didn't realise having a store was not as expensive as it used to be. I can't keep up ebays changes to stores, basic etc etc and then they change the rules....& I understand they are trying to get rid of the little people.
however some sellers (like myself) just don't want the commitment of a store.

is it me or does everyone sound like a baby boomer?
