Just because it is "legal" does not make it right . Laws are being changed all the time because they are wrong or unjust.
Could be one of the reasons so many people hate lawyers. Me ? I would hate to be a lawyer. that would mean i would hate myself

Then you don't understand what a lawyer does.
A lawyer doesn't make the laws.

And, because it is legal, regardless of your interpersonal variables, it is right.
Your interpersonal variables are subjective variables whereas the law is objective and representative of what is considered to be right in a given siociety.

Agreed.
Nothing is set in stone, including legislation. Whenever we get a new government at State or Federal level it is usually accompanied by signficant changes in our laws.
The area where we are sadly lacking legislation is in the area on the internet, internet retailing and internet based company tax evasion.
The absence of appropriate legislation in these areas does not mean that the behaviour is not wrong, just that our law makers (governments) have placed us all behind the eight ball.

I agree, ebay is in it for the money, same as any business.
It is not illegal, obviously, or else they would not be able to do it.
All the same, it means it is no longer a great place to sell off small home items. I don't think ebay would care though as I get the feeling they are aiming direction anyway towards big business.
I used to sell (under another name) about a decade ago, have thought of starting up again, but the fees & complexity have turned me off a bit, to tell the truth.
I think smaller sellers are starting to turn to a lot of alternative platforms, gumtree, facebook, etsy, you name it.
But so are a lot of buyers.
