Hi All,
This is against ebay rules and ticket companys like Ticketmaster and Ticketek also do not allow this practice.
Clearly people are profiting from this but after reporting over 60 diffeent listings myself and talking in person to a supervisor at the ticket agencies the listings are still on Ebay.
Come on ebay are you trying to profit also?
This is clearly an unfair practice as many people who would attend this concert miss out with these robbers profiting.
People buying these tickets have NO payment protection from paypal as clearly paypal only offer 45 days.
These tickets are not available for months in advance with many people being put in the situation where they could be ripped off.
Ebay you need to cancel these auctions and not allow new listings selling concert tickets to be placed on your site.
I will be watching ebay and if nothing is done will take action with Consumer Affairs and other goverment agencies.
Action must be taken now ebay so people are not being ripped off.

Why does Ticketek cancel tickets sold by unauthorised sellers such as online auction sites?
Ticketek seeks to cancel tickets sold for a profit to counter the growing threat of scalping which limits the general public's access to affordable tickets. The policy of cancelling tickets reduces the market for scalping which provides a disincentive to any unauthorised reseller to breach our Terms and Conditions of Sale.
Every ticket that Ticketek cancels is put back on sale to the general public at its original price.

What does Ticketek do to prevent scalping?
Ticketek is serious about combating scalpers and conducts the follow practices to protect you, the genuine fan and help educate you about the risks:
It continues to invest heavily in resources and technology to detect and prevent scalpers from acquiring tickets.
It actively monitors online auction sites and uses sophisticated techniques to identify scalpers and cancel their tickets.
When Ticketek determines a scalper's identity and the scalper has been acting in breach of Ticketek's standard Terms and Conditions of Sale, it terminates their account, cancels any tickets they have bought in breach of the Terms and Conditions of Sale, and puts them back on sale to the general public.
Ticketek works closely with promoters, venues and industry organisations to identify operational, technological and legislative solutions to the scalping issue.
Unfortunately, online auction sites do not take responsibility for checking fraudulent activity in regards to the selling of tickets on their site, nor can they guarantee the legitimacy of a ticket seller.
Once a customer has transacted with a scalper there is nothing Ticketek can do.

If a ticket doesnt arrive for 12 months, that would be a breach of eBay's Pre-sale Policy?
I think you need to send the goods within 20 or so days if it's Pre-sale

It is an offence to resell event/concert tickets in Queensland so watch your back for the police are coming to your door
Claptrap. You are not allowed to on sell tickets to certain state controlled venues at more than 10% over their face value.

its true people are selling tickets for $190 for **bleep**py seats when my friends got them for cheaper of ticketik it ridiculous and they should be made to put a hard copy yellow ticketik ticket on their auction or not sell them at all.

This thread was started a year ago and a lot of the issues (and posters) are no longer around.
Besides, if sellers did that, Ticketek would cancel them as they would know the seat number. So not smart on a seller's part.
