....hold onto a parcel for a week when it was obviously delivered there by mistake?
It is correctly addressed with my town and postcode, but they still scanned it in at the wrong post office, wrong town, wrong postcode and then hung onto it for a week before deciding to put it back into the post so it could continue its, rather long, journey to me.
I wish the sender had let me know it had tracking, I could have gone and picked it up last week.

Either it was a mistake; junior staff member did not know what to do, stuck it on shelf and forgot about it. Or there is a sad little person who enjoyed the feeling of momentary power over your parcel.
I would call the AP help line and complain. 🙂

Yeah, maybe I should make a complaint.
Neither my post office or the one it was deivered to have mail delivery services. Everyone in both towns has to collect their mail from the post office. So they scanned it in and just sat it there, its not like they could even card it for someone to collect? It looks like its been through the wringer a few times too, maybe they used it as a football or something?

Punch - they would not have used it as a football........unless of course it was marked 'fragile' :^O

Yea if it is marked fragile then they would use it for a lot worse!

I recently bought an item that was sent by Registered post and was given the final notice to pick it up before it was sent back overseas. I've bought a few things registered in the past and given the appropriate notice but it seems I wasn't this time or simply didn't notice the previous two slips, which I've noticed every other time.
For registered posts in the future, I'll be checking with the post office after a couple of weeks from the buy time to see if they have anything for me, incase another slip goes missing.

Hi Punch,
That is terrible! I'm so sorry. The Post Office should have taken much more care when checking and scanning their incoming parcels.
If you haven't contacted us about this yet, I would highly recommend it so we can take the matter up with the Post Office to ensure it doesn't happen to anyone else.

I had a problem with AP lately also. I was returning an item that was not as described my sister. I sent it using my click & send account so she had a tracking number. After 8 days my sister contacted the seller about her refund...parcel had not been delivered so I check on AP website which showed parcel was at sellers p.o. box waiting for collection, emailed the seller & let her know.
2 days later seller emailed back saying she had checked p.o.box twice, no card no parcel. Rang AP this time & they confimed item was there. Emailed seller again to say it was there.
Next day seller says still not there. Rang AP again explained seller had been there numerous times but no card or parcel. Was starting to get really annoyed by this time, especially after telling my sister click & send was the safest way to sent.
Rang AP again told them I sent item with signature delivery. They told me the tracking number was not signature delivery, I agued with them that it WAS signature. to cut a long story short the parcel was at the post office sitting in the wrong section & they had forgotten to put a card in the sellers p.o box.
I wonder how long it would have sat there before it was sent to there auction centre to sell off.
