How long ago did you post it? I'm wondering if they've watch the DVD and now want to return it because they don't want/need it any more. Wouldn't be the first time. Maybe they didn't like the movie. Some sellers have received negatives because the buyer watched the movie and didn't enjoy it.
Before these new rules came in, I said I'd hate to be a seller of clothing or DVD's. I can't help but think they are going to cop it the worst as far as extended returns go. Buy the movie, watch the movie, have the t-shirt, no longer need it, so send it back. Same with clothes. Buy the outfit, wear it to the function, can't possibly ever wear the same outfit twice, so send it back.
As mentioned, contact the buyer and see which option is the case for them, but it does sound a bit sus.

i ended up sending a msg saying sorry but i do not refund for change of mind,
then i refused the refund stating the same and it was closed by ebay instantly so hopefully it is finalised

TBH I still think it sounds like they may have selected the wrong option in eBay to open an item not received case.
I wouldn't be confident that opening an incorrect case and selecting particular options is "admitting" they received the DVD.
In their message in the case you indicated that they wrote they did not receive the goods.
eBay should remove the defect and negative feedback though.

under reason they wrote "i found a better price elsewhere" so no i am sure they did receive it

The way you described it above, that is the simply the eBay choice that they selected for opening the case in the first place, you have to select a reason why and that is one of them.

well why would you ask to return a item that you had not received , i think it is to much of a difference to be a mistake in my opinion

The menu displays the choices one under the other.
If you cannot understand that it is quite easy to click a wrong link, when they are positioned close together, and then get bamboozled by what you are supposed to do on eBay then I am surprised.
The key thing I think is that the buyer actually wrote that they had not received the item in the comments section.
The advice on the boards and in this thread, that tends to paint all buyers motives as black, is creating a hostile trading environment IMO.
A just as likely scenario is that the buyer clicked the wrong link, easy to do, and then just selected anything to get a message to you that they had not received it.

I still dont like the selection options of
Defective or does not work.
Have had the odd claim on this after they have crashed
or brocken and used the odd toy.
Thats what warranty and guarantee is for, not
too mention spare parts and repairs.
In the fair trading legislation, it states items faulty
through use abuse or misuse are not covered
under warranty or guarantee and items faulty that
have damage(of any sort) are not covered under replacement or refund
but only eligable for warranty repair.
It is not meant to mean you get your money back
because you busted it or because something
failed, Australian law allows for repairs unless
something major is faulty.
In the case of hobby products, nothing is major,
all is repairable.
Doesnt stop people hitting that return button tho.
Luckily I dont sell much in ebay like I used to
nearly 9 years ago now.
