Hi Guys,
Hopefully someone else can answer this question I have a customer that is complaining about delivery times from Sydney to Perth. Claims that air mail is an option, however I checked with Australia post local office and no air mail is available within Australia is this right?
Trying to avaoid ringing Aust post as waitning time is always forever.
Thanks in advance for your replies

Ausralia Post's website doesn't list Air Mail as an option in Australia, only under "Overseas".
Courier Post is same day (depending on where it's going to, and what time you post)., Express Post is next day (depending on where it's going to, and what time you post).
Question - what service did your customer pay for, and what delivery time did you specify in your item description?

I have family in WA and we find that mail from Melbourne (VIC) to Rockingham (WA) takes 2 to 3 days, while from Melbourne (VIC) to Perth (WA) can take 1 to 1.5 weeks!
It's very strange.

If you send it by Exprss Mail it will not be overnight delivery but it will be quicker than just ordiary mail. Biggest danger with that is the a lot of buyers believe ALL Express mail is overnight.

There is if you send to NFQ as its the only way it gets there . Still takes a while though.

thanks Lyndal yep express is an option however for it to be overnight it must be from capitol city CBD to Capitol city CBD pretty much so that rules me out :).
But no person wasnt interested in express post just "normal" post air mail .!! LMAO just a complainer I have seen by her feed back left
Oh well guess I was over due for my first neg feedback
OH BTW estimated delivery is by tomorrow (friday) lady started complaining on Tuesday

There is unofficial air mail in Aus. It's not a service you can request or pay for. If I send a parcel to WA or FNQ (from NSW), I have to sign a declaration sticker to say that it's safe to go via air. Most of the time the buyer has it in 3-4 days. If I send a large letter item, it just goes the slow route and can take 3-4 weeks to get to WA and FNQ.
