no the link does not work, I never get one on this ID, used too, maybe i have been a bad girl. have to pinch some of hubbies.
but being still top rater ( must be due to drop off though) and power seller, you would think they would like some fees from me.
like another seller said, can relax a bit now. But no selling , that means no buying on Ebay either.

I never receive invitions so I contacted eBay and was informed that it depends on your communication settings in your account.
Can someone who receives the invitations tell me which boxes they have ticked in Promotions and Surveys (Account / Communication Preferences / Promotions and Surveys)

looking at the Ebay usa everyone gets the free listings, up to 5, 000 this time, whether store or casual, as far as I can work out, but your selling limits do come into it. its about time we got the same deal, so everyone gets them, theres are for Valintines day.
Ebay Australia would make more money from us if we could list more than the 40. US also get 50 a month.
I read from one seller its to do with your settings, funny I haven't touched mine , but didn't get them this time.

Before May last year the only free listings were, ocassionally, for 99c auctions.
it seems these days that nobody will list unless they get freebies. eBay's fault for ramping up expectations, I suppose.
I list regardless. Freebies cut down my listing costs but never negate them. Presumably that is why I still sell stuff.
Edit: eBay US also charge FVF on postage. Do you really want to go that route? I don't.

boho like some other posters and me, I used to get the freebies and found not this time. I think its becoz I've been selling successfully and sold too much and so they think they need to entice other sellers than me..... I think like this as on my other id I never get any freebies and it has the same settings. I agree its disappointing.
Like davewil does I still list regardless just am a lot more fussy what I list, I list things that I know will sell first time around so i'm not "wasting" a listing fee.
and while waiting till feb for the freebies I can concentrate on my remaining post outs, and photograph items/write descriptions in turbo lister...and pay attention to my family for a change.
