cannot list due to error in starting price...Yet NO error! Help!

After completeing the listing I go to click to start the listing and get a red writing box at the top saying...There is an error with the starting price, there was no error to start with so I think, Ok I will chnage the amount to something else and NOTHING helps!

I tried to revise another current listing, that was already active and the thing came up again about incorrect starting price!

How can it be incorrect when it was already allowed to be listed!

This has been gong on for 3 days...HELP!

Have you had issues to?

What the heck is happening, this has cost me 3 days no listing! Money and work down the drain.

I am so annoyed right now as I needed these particular goods up for sale last night!

are you trying to list Auction with Buy it now?  you must have a difference of (i think 30%) between the 2 prices .... check the site map for guidance.

Hi Louie

As it 's Hello it's Friday,

eBay usaually dose site maintance, this is when listing items get error messages. Plus Auto re-lists get pushed back 4 hrs from when they were suposed to re-list

And yes use the online Percenatage calculator to get your 30% gap betwwen Starting price and BIN price Aim for 31% and when you apply it to your listing you should not see the error,

Also when you enter the Auction and then the BIN price. You will notice that. If the 30% price is right. The BIN prices box Move to the left automatically. If that gap dose not move. Then up your BIN price in fractions untill it slides to the left slighty. also ebay new Listing form will show a correct Base BIN price. You can put your price up what ever your items worth to you.

when does something sold become a contract .

IN reply: It become a contract as soon as the buyer presses Buy and confirms the purchase, Contract: is a Business selling term. You as the seller would receive you FVF crdited back to you, So then Move on and just sell it to another happy customer.

If a buyer changes there mind after puchase should they not be liable for sellers costs incurred with the sale- -louie

IN reply: Just accept their choice to cancel, Send them out a cancel a transaction request. This is ware you then would receive you FVF credit then Move on  And relist it again.

It is usual to reply to the thread a question is asked on, rather than putting all your answers in a thread that has nothing to do with most of them.

Friday is maintenance day, yes The Op has been having the problem for 3 days, however, so it is probably not maintenance driven.
