according to ebay's acepted payment policy http://pages.ebay.com.au/help/policies/accepted-payments-policy.html
Optional payment methods
In addition to offering at least one of the safer payment methods listed above for most listings, sellers may also offer one or more of the following payment choices:
cash on pickup
Why would my account be suspended for offering cash on pickup? And should I see a lawyer?

Cash on pickup is listed on ebay's Accepted Payment Policy (the link is above). Under ebay listings you can choose "other - see seller's payment instructions".
I'll cut and paste the relavant section from ebay's policy that very clearly states ...
Optional payment methods
In addition to offering at least one of the safer payment methods listed above for most listings, sellers may also offer one or more of the following payment choices:
cash on pickup
bank-to-bank transfer (including by Internet banking)
cash on delivery
bank cheques and personal cheques
money orders
any of these online payment services: Allpay.net, Bidpay, Canadian Tire Money, cash2india, CertaPay, Checkfree.com, hyperwallet.com, Moneybookers.com, Nochex.com, Ozpay.biz, Propay.com, XOOM.

There is no paypal buyer or seller protection on pick up items no matter what method is chosen for payment,
May I ask for clarification on this matter .. I only see mention of items that "are hand delivered" and don't see mention of anything with regard to pick up on the buyer protection policy.

I agree they are the methods that are described in the ebay accepted payment policy.
When you create a listing however, it provides you with options including payment on pick up or other option (no mention of cash).
From paypal user agreement In relation to eligbility for buyer protection:
Eligibility
S10.1 You may be eligible for the PayPal Buyer Protection Policy if all the following requirements are met:
Your purchase is not for:
6. Items you collect in person or arrange to be collected on your behalf;

I'm not sure I'm reading the right sections .. where is the above on the policy (got a link?).
Thank you for the clarification. The whole 3 hours I spent on the phone to my eBay friends in the Philipines was regarding the issue that by offering cash on pickup negated the buyer's right of a safe payment option (such as paypal) which I am obliged to offer (and had agreed to). That there is no buyer protection for paypal + pick up's blows the biggest hole in their argument and subsequent reasoning leading to my suspension.
thanks again 😉
