I got a payment notification for a BIN  but it didn't come from paypal but from the buyers email ...and there is no payment pending in my paypalis.... this legit?

Never, never click on a link in an email.  Go directly to your paypal account to see if there is a pending payment.

there is no payment pending in my paypal account and when I click on 'view paypal transaction' it says

'The Transaction ID in your link is invalid'

do I report this?

There is no point in reporting it to ebay or paypal if it did not supposedly come from either of them.

Do you have a buyer who might have sent the email?

Do not click the link, but I would ring Paypal and ask them to investigate.  Also sometimes when payment has been sent to an incorrect paypal address the "Invalid id" comes up.

Did you actually have a legit BIN sale?  

And don't forget Friday is eBay maintenance day when all manner of things can go wrong.

this was a BIN sale ..a few days ago.. buyer sent me this email

this email did not come from paypal it came from the buyer

DO NOT click on the link and if you have change all you pas words NOW.

I didn't click on the link...I will report it and hope ebay does something about it
