didnt list anything this weekend as no $1 weekends
fees too high for me otherwise as a small time seller
the fee on postage is particurally annoying, I have no choice but to pass this on to buyers
which I am sure turns some byers off, less sales for ebay as well as me
havent been getting the monthly no final value fee or listing fee either
which was fine until $1 weekends stopped
feels like small time sellers arent important to ebay

I use the advanced listing tool and still get 9 free relists on my auctions. Those relists don't come off my 40 freebies. Only new listings do.
As for the warnings above about ending the listings due to being charged $600, they are auctions. If they end or run out of free listings, they don't get charged until the OP relists them. If they still have free relists, they will just roll over until the free relists end. The free relists are FREE. It's different to BIN/GTC. OP, don't end your auctions. Let them run their course.
I posted a reply in another thread to the OP, which I didn't get a reply to. I'm guessing me pointing out facts, and how they really weren't going to be much worse off, wasn't what they wanted to hear. Paying on average another 50c in fees per item, isn't going to break them, especially when they would be making enough off postage costs to cover the fees.

I think it was discussed brer but I think it was a misunderstanding of the terms by a few posters and has now been explained by others.

a small time seller is someone who sells 6 items for the week last as I did
ironically this week is going great, as I am sure you will check
all this store talk is new to me I dont know much about it
came to this board for help, and constructive comments, not put downs
I am sure I have generated lots of money for ebay over the years with all my purchasing
and used paypal when it was theirs

My suggestion that you pay for a basic store subscription was a constructive comment, not a put down.
Just try it, it's easy

I'm not sure what help you asked for. Not a single question mark there.
My constructive comment is that you don't pass extra costs onto auction buyers unless you alter your starting prices. If an item then sells, the buyer wasn't turned off.

You've averaged 6 feedback a week for the last 12 months, so that is the minimum you've sold and probably a lot more. One week does not a statistic make. 3 months is pretty much the minimum you should use.

thankyou for your advice do appreciate it
put down comment definitely not aimed at you
I am very niave when it comes to stores
I have only been selling for long enough that the deals have been available
Now the deals are not around, this is new territory to me
I have been a ebay buying member for 18 years
I have only been selling regurally for less than 2 years
with a feedback of 1800 over 18 years shows I am a small time seller
My sales have been low 6 items last week
4 items the week before last
15 three weeks ago
7 four weeks ago
This means I have a selling average of 8 items per week
Not sure if its worth opening a store for so few items (again niave)
I do have many items listed, but need to, or I wouldnt sell anything only sellng an average of 8 items per week

Opening a store is at least worth considering, raron2.
Some eBay members will also have several accounts over which to spread items.
You may need to experiment for a little while to see exactly what would work best for you. That means keeping good records of everything involved so that you have the information from which you can make your calculations.
