From a sellers perspective, I'm hoping that they don't run promotions such as today's 15% off everything for everyone every Sunday.
Will this mean that sales will grind to a halt all week and then go off like a frog ion a sock on Sundays?
Does anyone know exactly what they mean by eBay big SUNDAYS (plural - so more than this Sunday)
Swings and roundabouts I know, but I like having sales all week, though the benefits in promotions such as these are that everyone at least pays on the day and all together, so sales aren't coming ion dribs and drabs tieing us to the site every day... but...
And seeing as in this instance at least, even those with products under $50 can still benefit as it is the total spend in the one transaction that is counted - so if someone buys 10 x $5 items, it seems they still qualify, don't they? (clarification on this required though, please) But if this applies to everyone, then won't everyones sales be primarily on a Sunday?

I'm still a little confused about this offer (and no, I'm not a blond either!). Is it items from ALL sellers, or just selected items? I'm in 2 minds as to whether to buy something that I have been wanting for AGES. I found a seller on here that has exactly what I want, brand new in box, authorised reseller, for half the price of a B&M store. My only concern is they are a new seller and only have 2 feedback, which were both buyer feedback. According to the page they have already sold 2 (as of yesterday) and have 8 left (haven't checked today as I'm not long home from work). 15% saving off $395 would be worth it I think, especially as registered postage is included in the price.
As for sales, I have had my best day yet. Mine are all auctions and it just so happened that most of the items I listed last weekend from the 150 freebies finished today. No-one qualified for the 15% discount though because the idiots are paying for them as they buy them. I have 4 different transactions for one buyer. That buyer would've qualifed too as they spent $54. He hasn't paid for the last one yet, so not sure if he's still planning on bidding on more things. I'll still have to post the rest of his stuff tomorrow regardless because I have a 1 day postage policy.

It is all items from any sellers.

it is for all sellers chooks
and as you pay with PayPal, you will have buyer proterction if they dont send or something dodgy goes down...
but at $395, are you looking at the chanel scarf or the model plane I have on my watch list?
cos if that's the case - it is only selected sellers and those two sellers arent on the list. (that is a lie aI am kidding 0- this promotion ios for all sellers)

No, but I did see your model plane yesterday and thought......ooohhhhh yeeaaaahhhhhhh, I like that!!! It's actually a Kitchen Aid. I thought intially it may've been the US version which sells for much cheaper, but the ad clearly states it is 240V with Australian plug. No mention of an adaptor (although I do have an adaptor that came with my microscope). The cheapest I have seen them online anywhere was $635 and the cheapest I have seen in B&M was $695, so it's mighty tempting!

2 hours to go Chooks, so if you're gonna take the plunge..... another $60 off makes it half the price in a B&M
the plane was pretty cool, eh?

Well, how lucky was that?! My DH suggested yesterday buying it, but I said no, wait for today as there was the 15% discount. He's gone off to bed now (gets up at 3am) so didn't 'ask' whether I could buy it (we always 'ask' for any purchases over $200....neither has ever said no, just a courtesy thing between us), but I thought, what the heck, he was going to buy it yesterday anyway. SOOOOOOO, I went to my watch list. Not there. Did a search. Not there. Went to sold listings thinking they may've sold them all. Not there. Got on DH's laptop and went into his history. Found the link, clicked and it took me to similar items. That's weird. Went back to history and found the link to the sellers feedback that we looked at . GUESS WHAT? NARU!!! I remember saying to DH, they are FAR too cheap, there has to be a catch, but it all sounded legit and above board. I wonder what happened to those 2 buyers that had already purchased? I have to say, I am feeling VERY relieved and kind of glad now that I had to work today, otherwise I probably would've hit the BIN button this morning.
Isn't it weird when you look back in hindsight to that niggly feeling you get that something isn't right, but you choose to ignore it. I've learned over the years to trust my instincts because they are usually pretty right, but I dang near fell for this one! Looks like I get to keep my money in my pocket for now.

And yes, your plane IS pretty cool! Problem is, my sheep would probably try and eat it if I bought it ๐

wow - well that was certainly a lucky thing to dodge that bullet eh? even though you would have had PayPal protection, but still, that's a lot of money to have out of circulation till they go through their processess
are any of the stores having EOFY sales?
I was thinking of hitting a few this week and laybuying a few whitegoods if I could find any deals
