Here' a good one!
eBay's postage label system won't let me print a label for a sale unless I correct a buyer's typo, but once I do that, it won't let me print the label because "Changes to the buyers address are not permitted..."!
Genius, eBay!
And the typo? Buyer entered 'South Australian' instead of 'South Australia' for the state field, which of course eBay's label system can't properly parse (though for some reason checkout has accepted it when the buyer made the purchase).
I got on to eBay CS via online chat, but even they can't ammend the typo, apparently. Their best solution is for me to cancel the sale and ask the buyer to repurchase with the shipping address entered correctly.
I'll probably just go to the PO and buy a satchel for this one, just to avoid all the drama, but I find it amazing that despite the amount of time eBay's post label system has been operting, there are still fundamental flaws in its basic operation. And I know I've previously been able to correct small issue like this from within the label system and still been able to generate the label.

Hi Taz, I have not used the ebay label system for ages, mainly due to hassles with address corrections and verifications, maps, street view, etc, Ah I miss it like a hole in the head.
Anyway, from memory, you could not fix a typo in the state field, but you could delete/eraze the entry, and then replace it from the dropdown menu. Dont know if that will still work.
I switched to AP, primarily for the ease in corrections.
