Just so that others see it,(Posted by Michelle on Chat with eBay Staff).:
In our first eBay hosted chat we'll be focusing on Returns.
This is your opportunity to ask the eBay team about the changes announced in Seller Release and the recent launch of ParcelPoint returns. Maybe you want to know how to make the most of, or perhaps better manage, returns on eBay.
We'll open up this thread at 2.30pm on Thursday 20 July and be on hand for an hour to answer your questions.
We look forward to chatting with you then.

I see the Live Chat is up and running and one question after 40 mins.
Typical of eBay to introduce something potentially good then manipulate it to only talk about what they want to talk about.
What about the next topic being "Reasons why most sellers sales have dropped dramatically in the past 2 years".
I'm sure this would bring droves of sellers to the live chat.

Do the subjects have to be set by ebay?
I thought that Michelle had just kick started the new board by suggesting a subject.
You could always try asking a question about something else and see what happens.

If you have a look at the US chat sessions you will find the staff are pretty much the masters of the none answer, so in response to an off topic question it pretty gets an answer along the lines "Sorry but today we are concentrating on Returns, but don't worry we will get around to your topic in the near future when we will be able to "Reach out" to you on this topic, otherwise "Reach Out" to one of our customer reps who will be able to help you.."
They do an awful lot of "Reaching out" but don't give very many real answers.
In the US they seem to alternate between set topics and General Questions.
Giving the great unwashed the impression that they a say in how eBay operates helps to keep the level of discontent down.

Point taken gec.
I avoid the US boards like the plague....I get completely lost over there and as a buyer only I have very little need for a Q & A session on policies.
I did check out the session today and personally thought that the answers were rather dancing around the questions....a lot of rhetoric with little substance.
Only time will tell I guess....I will keep my eyes on the board.

It certainly wasn't the get help from eBay chat session that I thought it was going to be. It was more "we're introducting this new way for buyers to rip sellers off, what do you think about that?". If they're only going to discuss things they are bringing in, then it's pointless having that forum. It doesn't matter what members think, they will be introduced anyway.

I tried but I was too late to contribute but then later I checked and Michelle said I could have still asked a question but I couldn't be bothered then because it was mostly eBay telling us what's going to happen and not why can't you do it this way lol.
