Hello to everybody who might happen to read this.
I only use this account to browse on ebay to get an idea of prices for items I list elsewhere.
I'll never sell or buy on ebay ever again due to their illegal postage fee.
I know this has been covered so many times and I know there's been so much information and links to the relevant websites, but the following information and link to the ACCC website proves in a nutshell (as far as I'm concerned) that what they do from profiting from a service they don't provide is illegal as much as ACCC or any organisation does nothing about - so it's up to the individual to take a stance against them just like I have, but instead of rambling on about what I'm doing on behalf of all Australian ebay users and to make ebay pay back every cent they've stolen... here's the information and link to the ACCC website:
The Australian consumer law prohibits businesses from misleading consumers (ie: their illegal postage fee should be displayed next to the postage cost just as GST has to be displayed). It also prohibits them from accepting payment (for products and/or services) if they do not intend to supply (those same products and/or services).

I'll leave that with yourselves and whether you take a stance against them too is totally up to yourselves. Everyone knows (or should know) that this place if "rife" with unfair business practices and policies, but when they conduct in illegal activities and decide to steal money from the very people who make them money then that's my justification for my own stance against them.
Cheers!

Diplomacy is fine. But the people responding to my posting previously do not even sell on ebay. They are just throwing their own opinions and suggesting what is best. It seems that they need to demonstrate some kind of superiority in response to my post.

Here is what the ACCC does to Australian business that attempt to stand up to the American chamber of Commerce

Ebay has deeper pockets than any of the members here who might want to try their luck.
I suggest that ebay has deeper pockets than the ACCC too so perhaps is a clue to why they appear to routinely shirk their duty .. or I may be mistaken and it is simply a case of perhaps the ACCC administration is corrupt to the core and gets paid in brown paper bags in fast food carparks at 2am etc ..
hence class action is perhaps the only course left if anything is to be done about anti competitive practices and rampant greed and monopoly practices by international corporations "investing" in the Australian Nation Building rort ..

Lyndal is the only member who has replied to your rant that doesn't sell on eBay. She does however buy a LOT. She has been around long enough to know how it works for both buyers and sellers. It's surprising how much you learn by reading and participating. If you are referring to me not selling, then you need to read up on posting ID's.

By the way is not a rant. I am just telling the truth. People don't like to hear the truth.
And you, apparently don't like to hear & take advice.
Posting ID, by the way.
But have been selling about as long as it would take your class action.

I never said I was happy paying the fees on postage. If you'd read my earlier post, you would have seen where I said that no-one here is happy paying it, including me, but as I choose to sell here, then I choose to pay it (the buyers give me the money to pay it). Doesn't mean that I like it. As DG said, they make a profit from us, we make a profit from them. I make way more profit from selling here than they'll ever get from me. I rarely make under 1000% profit. If eBay start making that from me, then it's time to hang it up.
You can bet your bottom dollar I won't be signing up for a class action as I would like to continue to sell here for the foreseeable future. If I sign up and it goes ahead, I'll never be allowed to sell again. Why would I want to risk that? Postage fees or no postage fees, I'd be cutting my own throat. I'm not going to throw away everything for the sake of 80c a sale. If you want to risk everything, then go for it. No-one here is stopping you. I just doubt you'll get many, if any takers from posting content that violates forum and eBay policy.

As you seem to equate feedback with credibility, I am over three times more credible than you.
I also have never had negative feedback.
Your complaint is legitimate, in that it is a fair complaint, but your proposed solution is ludicrous, in that the issue has been debated and found in eBay's favour.
Unless you subscribe to x whatever's conspiracy theories. In which case you are misguided.
Either way, you have a snowball's chance.
Don't like it, don't list on eBay. Simple.
