Thanks Cats and DJ. Not talking about a big amount - but always good to know what the scenario is. Got a feeling that the little problem could be 'transfer' as against 'payment'. We'll see tomorrow.

Lyndal I have never been charged a fee sending or receiving funds uusing the personal option even though my Paypal account is premier. Perhaps the OP was sent the moneywithout the sender using the personal transfer option.

Sorry OP about side tracking your thread. with what I don't know about PP transactions.

Good news though that Donahoe is not going to be CEO of eBay any more (board position but not as much pull).  Hopefully the new CEO will have some REAL brains, and sort this mess out.

Don't think Paypal could charge more, they are up against some very big and canny competitors.
