ebay money back guarantee

I have had a 2 of these in the last couple of days for INR.

The first one I responded with I am happy to refund or resend and didn't hear anything from the buyer, it took about 2 days for the defect to show on my record. I decided just to refund as I heard nothing and it stated that the buyer can get ebay to step in after 4 days (ebays policy actually says 3 days).

Then I get an email from ebay after refunding that:"This request won't count against you when determining your seller standing. You can view the details of this request in the Resolution Centre."For a start I didn't request anything and I already have a defect beacuse the buyer "open a case", any more defects would only count as the one anyway.I also got one of these "ebay has protected your account" emails the other day telling me they have increased some ratings to 5 stars. Thanks ebay for giving me 5 stars for postage cost when it is a free post item.

Re: ebay money back guarantee

I had a refund from Australia Post in the form of a booklet of 70 Cent stamps for a letter which was said to be lost. I supplied a copy of the Photograph of the stamped envelope and a letter from my Postmaster that it had been sent over the counter. Strangely enough about 5 weeks later so called buyer left positive feedback for the said non delivered items in the so called missing envelope.

Some buyers are real thieves.

I think I've been so lucky so far. I've had a few (literally) buyers contact me via messaging to say their item hadn't arrived yet (no case opened). I replied with when I'd posted the item and depending on where they lived, I'd ask them to wait X more days and if still not there, I'd be happy to refund.

ALL replied within a few days saying their items had arrived, including one just this week. Any one of them could have said, no it's still not here and I would be none the wiser as most of my items go large letter.

Two things I have been grateful for, none of my buyers have opened a case against me (regardless of whether it's INR or SNAD) and they have all been honest by letting me know their item arrived. I know there will be a time when I'll get one that says it hasn't arrived, in which case, if it's one of the large letter items, I'll just have to refund.

I can't believe your buyer would claim an INR and then be stupid enough to leave feedback. Did they think you wouldn't notice? My guess is they got the email reminder from eBay and they'd forgotten that they'd made a claim about that item so went ahead and left it. Makes you wonder how many others they had done the same thing to! It seems that some buyers aren't just thieves, they are stupid too.
