I wonder weather the seller name (as long as I don't have a store) is important at all.
If it is important should it explain what's in the store or rather be something like a brand name?

it should only be a brand name if you own the rights to the brand, otherwise it could get confusing for buyers who think they are buying from the official brand eBay store.
The ID a seller chooses can be important. It could indicate what you sell, like mine, or it could be something catchy. It should not have any obscenities in it, it should not be too long, avoid having a "69" at the end. Some people choose to spell their name backwards, but that can generate a confusing name.
My advice, keep it simple, let the ID name tell members something about your products e.g. plants-n-more, herbs-n-plants, medicinal-herbs (I just checked and none of these are taken).

One has to be careful as well what invented names mean in other languages....

yes, especially if a seller is intending to sell internationally

There is one good reason to have a relevant ID name.
If you have repeat buyers, It is advisable to have a name relevant to the products sold so the buyer can posibly remember or associate you with another purchase.
Many come on the boards here asking how they find the name of a seller they purchased from some time ago.
So if you sell beach umbrellas - (beach_umbrella) or if you sell dog treats - (pet_treats) etc.
That way there is half a chance a repeat buyer will find you.
I think it also makes a seller appear more committed to those products.
In your case, I am never going to remember that ID.
It may mean a lot to you but not to buyers.
But if it was (german_beer), I would probably not forget it.
(Just an example)

I completely agree with Kopenhagen above.
In saying that though, Ive changed my name a few times, and its never made an ounce of difference - in fact my sales were higher when my name was GTX305... clearly not the best name. But thats when I was ONLY on Ebay - I wouldnt change names or use **bleep**py ones like that if I had my own website or was selling on multiple sites.
For me, I'd pick a name that is flexible (if you want to change the products you sell), that you could possibly use as a web address, and that you will be able to use as your own brand nicely. Also, use a name you can use on other sites (Etsy, Facebook, whatever) that will link all your products together and show buyers that you are you (comes back to your own branding again).
You may not be wanting to do any of those things at the moment, but you never know what the future holds, dont restrict yourself from the beginning.

heftzwecke123,
I knew a hamburger joint in London, can't remember if it was Kings Rd. or Fulham Rd. in Chelsea, called
"Great American Dissaster"
That place was always packed, with cues outside waiting to get in.
The name was spot on - also memorable, obviously, after all this time. I doubt I'll ever forget, nor anyone else who saw it.

That means that the sellers name shoul have something in common with the website name.
I am changing my website name anyway and I have written up some names that would be possible:
plants-for your-health
plants-for health-and- wellbeing
useful-plants- explorer
plants-to-use (very similar to herbs-to -use from that very known Aussie herbalist Shipard)
herb-medicine-food-plants
healing-and edible-garden
plants-to-heal-and feed
plantstohealandeat
healing-and- edible-garden
rareherbs-n-edibles

Just don't buy with your selling id
People will know what you paid - if that's relevant
