Yes, I agree that ebay has made some changes to the arrangement of the page. I know I have to really make an effort to leave feedback myself .... have to go searching for it, actually

Be thankful.
I used to get around 70% now I'm pushing to get 50%.
The red star isn't really that big a deal, honestly.

I also only get about 50% feedback from my buyers down from a significantly higher percentage a couple of years ago.
What really matters though is the drop in actual sales over that time !
These days I don't really care about the feedback if only my sales would return to something like what they were in the past.

I only get about half as well.
Perhaps eBay has become too big and complicated for the average user to bother using all its features, and some things get overlooked like the feedback system.
I have also sent requests in messages to people for feedback and often never hear back from them. I don't bother doing that anymore.

Just looking at the Buying discussion board... it seems there are some posts there about buyers having difficulty leaving feedback. Some have tried more than once and the feedback just isn't getting saved or something.
However I think in general less people are attempting to leave feedback anyway.

I recently left feedback on a couple of items and didn't find it hard, although I can't remember exactly what i clicked now to get to it. Maybe it is harder for new buyers to find the right spots, whereas i know I actively looked for it
I just went into MY ebay a moment ago to see what i could see and one thing i noticed is that the things in my purchase history have this really big tab on the right hand side that says something like, "Return this item."
I don't want to return my items, but it seems to me that ebay have made it look as if returns are automatically available, as a matter of course. If i were a newbie buyer, that is what i would assume. Bit misleading & unfair to sellers, i think.

I just left some feedback for both sellers and buyers and had no problems. I know in my purchase history, the transactions where the seller has already left feedback, the blue button was the leave feedback one. The transactions where the seller hadn't already left feedback, the blue button was to return the item.

4theloveofit, you made me smaile there. I know what you mean about negative feedback. Years ago, my sis & I used to sell and I think we got up to almost 900 without a negative before we gave it away but oh boy, there were times we nearly copped it. Yet we were totally honest, tended to err on the side of caution & had a few people say things were better than they expected! We were totally honest & reasonable sellers, I thought.
But there were people who expected items to arrive before they paid for them or who expected stuff to be included when no such thing had been mentioned in an ad. There's nowt so strange as folks, as they say!
I reckon if anyone can get to over 1000 feedback, 100% positive, never a bad feedback ever, they are a bit of a miracle worker! I'm in awe anyway.
