I have just opened a 2nd account that i wish to use as a selling account only.
Ive linked my pay pal account and it raised my selling limits which is great.
but one question can i link in my listings on the new account to show my feedback on this account or is against ebays rules.
ive looked at policy,s but cant find anything re linking one account to an other.

All the above, and just to add, although there is not an express policy re: linking to another ID, there is one that says if you have more than one ID, they are not allowed to interact with each other in any way, and (anecdotally) I believe sellers have been advised by eBay reps that it is against the links policy.
Even though many of eBay's policies are written in a way that they don't answer all questions or scenarios, and are also a touch ambiguous, plus the fact that eBay reps aren't exactly famous for being well versed in all of eBay's intricacies, I'd personally err on the side of caution and not include any links.

Hi DG,
I wondered about this point recently in another thread (which I can't find now). ie putting links to our other two stores in the auction listings of a third non-store ID.
I read a bit on links policy and found this (see below).
Seems to say in here that you can put links to other ebay stores as long as you have the permission of the account holder.
For our own stores we would of course have our own permission.

That policy specifically states it's ok to have the link on a store page, but fails to mention one way or another if it's ok in a listing, but I think the first part on the help page restricts pretty much all links from listings themselves that don't provide additional details about the item itself:
"In general, when listing items on eBay, you can include links that are solely intended to provide additional details about the items. That means links should only be used when that information can't be included in the listing itself. These links include additional images, technical specifications, manufacturer warranties and other information that can help buyers make an informed purchasing decision. Other links that point to a third-party provider's website are also allowed, such as image hosting sites and auction template sites."
So, I think I would still keep it out of a listing - if eBay ever decided to issue a policy violation for it, no amount of sense or reason re: their own policies and what they don't say seems to be listened to, unfortunately. ๐

I think because even in the terms of agreement with eBay its not black & white so to be safe before i list any thing ill give eBay a ring tomorrow and ask. that way ill know 100% if its acceptable.
thank you all for answers cheers vicki
