Ok so i have seen some great dresses from china for $9 with free shipping.

Now i understand production costs in china are cheap and if the item costs them 1 cent to make and there happy selling it for any small profit.

What I cant understand is how they can ship from china to here and to your door for under $10 with registered mail.

I cant even do that within australia ?

how can you compete.

If the perfume is marked non flammable (sometimes known as perfume oil or grade A perfume) then it can be posted by whatever means only taking into account that cotton wool (or other absorbent material) needs to be packed with a glass/breakable container.

Perfume Oils
(Based on high quality, Grade “A” Oils)

Reasonably priced
Alcohol-free
Less likely to cause allergic reactions
Long-lasting (6-15 hours)
A cleaner, richer, and truer scent
Longer shelf-life
Scent more constant
Growing in popularity
Majority are non-flammable

I am not saying that the ops products are non flammable just that they exist, are growing in popularity and are in the main able to be posted almost anywhere by any means

There are huge shipping agent companies in China who can negotiate very low price with China Post, as they help people to post trucks and trucks load of parcels everyday.

They can send anything within 500g for any online sellers in China as documents. Meaning they will only pay for the postage for a large letter.

That is called collective bargaining power. If you go directly to post without an agent in China, you will find the postage is not cheap at all.

Re: how do some people get shipping so so cheap?

I have an agent in China to help me ship some parcels. They give me 40-50% off China Post price. I only ship 1 parcel a month, You can imagine if I ship hundreds of parcels a day like the HongKong sellers, I will get even more discount.

One thing I like about Chinese government is that price for public services basicly never goes up. 10 years ago, it costs about 15 cents bus fare for a short ride. Last year I went to a town in Shanghai China, it's still 15 cents and you can now change to any bus for free within one hour. Last month I heard regular train ticket has stayed same as well for 10 years and now went down for 10cents. And guess what? People criticise department of train, saying it's a big joke and they should reduce more price if they genienely want to reduce price.

I guess it's probably the same for China post. And here in Australia, Post charge goes up every year.
