Hi
I had a query about listings I have, the buyer wanted me to ring them... I must say alarm bells went off, I didn't ring but endeavoured to answer their questions via email...
Anyone else had similiar experiences...

As far as I know to be able to get details for another member you need to have a transaction; bid is not a transaction; it only becomes a transaction once you win.
Actually, soul is correct, you only need to place a bid to request the contact details.

When I looked for "contact member" I got only 2 options:
How do I contact the seller when the auction is over?
Contact buyer after sale
Then i got the page to get phone number and it says:
"You can request another member's contact information if you are involved in a recent transaction with them."
Has anybody actually tried to get phone number before auction ended?

It's right here: http://pages.ebay.com.au/help/buy/questions/contact-seller.html
Buyers can only obtain a seller's contact information if they bid on or buy one of the seller's items. Sellers can only obtain the contact information of bidders or buyers on their listings.
