Carly just wondering why you postage varies from $4 to $10 to post a DVD?

BUT the unexpected bill may have arrived AFTER the bid was placed.
True, however we are talking about a small amount of money, AND did not even ask Seller for permission to bid as an International buyer when TOS clearly state Seller posts only to Australia.
So here we have a low fb buyer no problem with that in isolation but add to it the fact that they bid on a small $ value item that they cant pay for under the Seller TOS and they are bidding on an item from outside OZ without asking permission. I too would be nervous, and I am pretty laid back when it comes to understanding my buyers probs.

I have recently had a couple of overseas bidders despite the fact I have everything set to only post within Australia. I think the reason it gets through the filters is possibly because when you put those things in place it's only set to block bidders whose 'primary postal address is overseas' .
Some bidders may have registered in another country but still have a primary postal address within Australia. With my overseas bidders I never found out as they didn't win the auction.

sorry i have to add the dvd was up to 122 dollars and the bidder from nz with the 2 feedbacks and wanting to pay next week if they won was the highest bidder so you can understand my concern thats why i cancelled the bidder i may have lost a 100 dollars off it but my heart is tellling me the same thing still

It's not like the buyer asked for the DVD to be sent and then he'd pay for it later.
carly_and_judy haven't lost out on anything. The DVD is relisted and íf it's as collectable as you think then you should have no problems getting a higher amount than what the NZ buyer had bid.

wow I didn't realise, so I take back what I said about it being a low cost item, I was looking at the current listing...my bad.
You did what felt right....good for you I say.
Anyway anyone from good ole "Lonnie" is all good as far as I am concerned. 🙂

yeah retail you can see why a low fb buyer not wanting to pay for a week if they won concerned me im glad the current bidder is winning

In the past I have had a lot of excuses from buyers for wanting to delay payment but when I look at it overall I am sure they just want to wait until pension day and maybe are a bit embarrassed to say they need to get their pension before paying.
I can honestly say that if I wanted to buy anything on ebay this week I would have to ask if the seller would wait until pension day next week to pay but knowing how tight things are I won't bid or buy even thought I would love to get a couple of items I have seen listed.
Until the weekend just gone I had no idea I would be spending $18 a day for each dressing on my leg and this could go on for a few more days. Sometimes stuff happens and people have silly accidents that hit hard financially.
