if i dont sell my item do i still pay a fee

I am selling collectibles only,
have read the fees and charges and after a while it just confuses you
If I put an item up and it doesnt sell, and I dont relist it, is there still a fee I need to pay?

If you have free lisitngs available and you relist the item, it will use up one of your free listings and you will not incur a charge.  If you don't have any free listings left, you will pay an insertion fee when you list the item, or when you relist it, but if it doesn't sell you do not pay a fvf.  That is only chargable when the item sells.
