is there a limit to how many ebay id's you can have?
I know that you need to have a new email address for each one but if you had 100 email addresses could you possibly have 100 IDs or does ebay limit it to a certain number per person/family/residence etc?

Ahhhh, there's those imaginary friends again...........
What's this circle you speak of Joe? What do circles have to do with having multiple ID's? Please stick to the topic if you're going to dredge up dead topics with the express purpose of ramming home your point (again...........and again............and again.......).
I think everyone here knows your feelings on multiple ID's, why do you feel the need to keep reinforcing it? Do you think we are stupid?

@joethenuts wrote:do you think that if you say you sell cameras that buyers think you are going to sell the camera for what you paid for it, please . remember businesses dont go and buy retail and then put a larger margin on it , do you think buyers are silly. businesses pay wholesale price and then sell it retail. mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm
this is eBay joe. I don't think buyers are silly, I think many buyers still think that eBay is the place to go to get a bargain and a place where you can win an auction for 99c. eBay buyers are a strange breed, and I say this not in a disparaging way. They just think differently and approach on-line buying from a different perspective when buying on eBay than on a B&M store website.
We see examples of this buyer mindset all the time on these boards. Threads where buyers come here complaining that they paid $14.75 for postage and there was only stamps totalling $14.30 and asking should they ask for a refund on excess postage, or they won 5 auction items and the seller wont reduce the postage even though they won five auctions from the same seller for a dollar or two and are complaining that the seller is charging 5 lots of postage at $1.40 per item even though they could get all the items into one toughbag. Doesn't matter that the items are all of much greater value than they won them for.
Just this year there was a thread where a seller was asking where do they complain to eBay because their buyer was on-selling the item they bought at a much higher price than they paid for it, and the seller thought that that was unethical. Just this last week a seller was outed on these boards for buying items for much less than they try to sell them for. Admittedly that seller was falsely describing the items as new even though they were not, but eBayers hate seeing others on-sell their items for more.
We read threads all the time from sellers complaining that on Buy-It-Now listings with Make-an-offer they are getting buyers offering 10% of the B-I-N price and getting annoyed when the offer is declined. Buyers think that when buying from casual sellers they can get things cheap. I once had a member offer $5 in the last 5 minutes of a $250 item listing and then they complained to me after the end saying "if mine was the highest offer you should accept it" because they thought Make-An-Offer meant the best offer received because they saw "or Best Offer" on search results.
That is why two IDs, one for buying and one for selling, is a good idea . . . . . . even if it is only to stop the sellers I buy from seeing that I can sell the item better than they can.

so are you saying you cant have your buying private on ebay.

@joethenuts wrote:why dont you make your buying id private mmmm
sorry joe, but your post supports multiple IDs.
You see, if I make my buying ID private I can not sell on that ID.
That would mean I would have to open a new ID to sell on.
On one ID I can not make my buying feedback private while having my selling feedback public.

No Joe.....you can have your buying private IF YOU HAVE A SECOND ID.
You cannot have your buying private if you are using the same ID to sell on.
