new Id

is there a limit to how many ebay id's you can have?

I know that you need to have a new email address for each one but if you had 100 email addresses could you possibly have 100 IDs or does ebay limit it to a certain number per person/family/residence etc?

only opions have been said on here , not 1  good answere i am still waiting why  you would need more than 1 id,

to tippy in this thread the last 3 years have not changed in the reason why you shoud have more than 1 id.

The answers the Op asked for were given and they were happy with the info they were given in Oct 2012,(which was

certainly more then one and up to 8 was quite reasonable).

There were no answers as to why you need more then one ID as that wasn't the question the Op asked.

The Op asked: is there a limit to how many ebay id's you can have?

I don't see where you answered that question.

You went completely off topic as you made a comment 3 years later that was off topic,(eg: it didn't answer the question the Op

asked and you choose to ignore that to push your own agenda).

Again you stated: i am the only one sticking to the subject on ids,(No you're not as it's not what the Op asked).

Again you stated: the thread is called  new  id,(but the Op asked how many can you have, not why have more then one).

And again: i wish posters would stick to the thread on  ids,(you didn't from the start).

Regardless of what you think or want, members can have multiple ID's and eBay will never change it.

For every ID opened for whatever reason means that eBay could have more buyers or sellers and the member count going

up will also look good on the books,(for the share holders, even it's a current member making another ID).

Why some members have up to three ID's seem to be,one for buying, one for selling and one for the boards,(all legitmate reasons

to have one).

These also explains the Private listing and feedback policies.

Making a listing Private:

http://pages.ebay.com.au/help/sell/private.html

Making your feedback Private:

http://pages.ebay.com.au/help/feedback/profile-public-private.html

It has been explained a number of times to you and it doesn't matter whether you agree with it or not,it wont change,(so

please don't bring it up again).

it normally wouldn't take 50 posts for the message to sink in  . . . . but for some it does take a little longer.  By the way joe,  do you now understand why a member might have more than 1 ID ?  You still haven't answered that question despite it being asked a few times. (little wonder it takes blardy 50 posts . . . . . sheeeeeesh)

Re: new Id

i sent you and tippy  yes to understand you too but out of 50 posts only 2 of yous answered it, in english  did you not see that  if not ask me and i will put you on to the right post.

does it outway the members who use it when they are blocked   does it outway members who dont want to buy from an id.

lets say you dont ever want to buy from me  for what ever reason , then weeks later you want to buy a product so you a  have achoice  joethenuts  id      or     bananakid. id    and more choices  so you buy from bananakid, id   how would you feel when bananakid was joethenuts 2nd id.

also you are a seller and you have blocked joethenuts for what ever reason , and bananakid buys from you,  then more trouble  then googeegooch  buys from you  which is joes 3rd id.

still not convinced but great answeres ,so if any of you are in my town come past and get a prize.

Re: new Id

Joe, it is the luck of the draw if someone buys from a seller who has more than one ID.....if often happens with sellers from Asia. Who really cares as long as the items arrive?

As a seller, if you block an ID and the buyer uses another ID to circumvent that block you can report the buyer to ebay...they will probably be thrown off ebay.   It is the same with posting on the boards.....you cannot use an alternate Id to post if one ID is supended.

Why?

If Joe hadn't replied to an old thread by going of topic then no one else would've posted.

He then went off topic about Collingwood and others followed,(so once again Joe went first).
I presume he meant have I replied to that foottball bit on this thread,(why would I?).
There is no restriction on dragging up old threads as long as you stay on topic,(which he failed to do).
It is recommended that you don't drag up old threads but start a new one instead,(especially if asking a different question
than the one posted by the Op).
