I have posted an item for sale and have pick up only. I also wrote if you require postage to contact me first for a price for shipping.
the buyer just went ahead and bought my item. I sent a message saying I need to add postage which the buyer ignored and proceeded to pay. I have sent messages to the buyer but have had no reply.
what do I do?

Use the link below using "problem with buyer's address" as the excuse.

Many buyers do not bother to read descriptions or look at listings fully- that is a given. They may not have seen your message either.
Why don't you just work out what shipping is and include it? The vast majority of people are not going to live anywhere near you to pick it up and would prefer to get this posted. Cancel the item as mentioned and re-list with a proper postage cost.

If he has paid, perhaps the buyer is going to pick up and doesnโt require postage.?!???
Silly to pay first, but hey, eBay isnโt full of smart folk! ๐
Use Padiโs link and cancel the sale. Then youโll get your fees back too.
Donโt waste your time with twits. ๐

Unfortunately there are some such buyers who never bother to read the entire ad. Contact eBay Customer support and explain what happened. They will probably advise you to cancel the transaction and put "problem with Buyer's address" as the problem. Make sure you save the chat reference so you can refer back to it, in case the buyer leaves you a negative feedback. eBay will remove it as it was not your fault.
