One neg isn't going to hurt you.

i would write it off to experience and keep the money. They almost assuredly have the goods.

As an aside, they are not very good scammers, as they are not getting the goods for free.

Had the same thing happen to me, checkout my thread http://community.ebay.com.au/t5/Selling/So-angry-right-now/td-p/1974223  kept reporting  them to ebay, and after 2 weeks they finally  removed the feedback, and de-registered the buyer, also report them to Trust & Safety, it comes under report a member. good luck, we do have to stop these scammers.

Re: please checkout my last negative i recieved

I have noticed in the last 6 months

aussie post seems to be letting sellers down as well

with late deliveries or lost post

been selling on here over 12 yrs and very rarely had any problems regarding postage times or lost mail

but now wow

a few days dont go by with buyers asking where there items are

i seem to only get negative feedback because of australia post

as  most items are posted interstate by me on the day of sale

we are all at the mercy of australia post these days

i will not accept this negative feedback this last buyer gave me

i will watch her very closely on ebay to see if she keeps leaving negative feedback to other sellers

Re: please checkout my last negative i recieved

Totally agree. If it is a scam, it isn't a very good one at all.

It seems this buyer has not (as yet) opened any case in an attempt to get their money back, nor did they message the seller to say they didn't receive the item. You would expect a scammer might try the latter strategy if they hoped to be sent a freebie yet stay under the radar as far as opening cases went.

Something is far, far wrong. I can't see the FB the buyer has left other people, but if 17 of the last 20 comments have all said they didn't receive their item then you would expect any normal person would have stopped buying long ago and would have checked their address details or at the very least, to have claimed their money back via ebay.

I think dave is right. You've copped a neg but at least so far you have the money. Hold onto it, don't even dream of dropping in a replacement. They haven't asked for it, they haven't communicated at all with you.

One neg is neither here nor there. I honestly doubt many people can sell a lot on ebay without running into occasional problems.

If you can get ebay to remove it, all the better, but if not, don't stress too much.

Most buyers won't care, as long as you give a factual reply to show your side. Negs don't worry me (as a buyer) unless a seller has quite a few of them and they show a pattern.

This is actually a known tactic, I had someone do it to me with two negs a little over a year ago (all of theirs were worded differently, though).

Basically, they leave negs for every seller, then wait for the seller to contact them and offer the "fix" (refund / replacement), and they do it this way because - in their minds - it calls less attention to the scam, because they're not doing anything at all (except making the FB statement), really, while the seller initiates / offers everything.

If you look at how a business like VistaPrint responds to poor feedback (on their webiste, buyers can rate and review the products they've bought, and Vistaprint basically responds to all the bad ones with "Sorry, we've credited your account", i.e. insta-refund or replacement), you can see how this sort of behaviour came about.

Re: please checkout my last negative i recieved

I would call eBay (or get them to call you back) and ask about removal (calmly), citing that the buyer leaves the same bad feedback for everyone, so it can't be factual and the buyers opinion of the transaction if everyone gets the same thing. Tell them to check the buyers feedback for others. The worst they can do is say no. If that happens, leave a factual reply, as already mentioned, but make sure you put the buyers username in the reply. e.g <username> made no contact and leaves negs for every seller. Or whatever you can fit. No-one but you can see the buyers ID, so by naming them, others can see.

If a buyer does check your feedback, then they can look at that buyers poor history and see you did nothing wrong. Like Springy, I don't give two hoots about sellers with negs, unless there is a pattern. Most genuine buyers can see by all the positives, compared to 3 negatives, that you clearly give good service. Most genuine buyers can also tell when a buyer that negged is a numpty. You can easily pick them. Estimate says ETA the 9th, it's now the 10th and it hasn't arrived, negative. Most will have a yellow feedback star.

I've actually bought from large volume sellers that have feedback of 98%, which for large volume is pretty carpy. They are the sellers where I buy cheap and expect cheap. I don't have an issue buying from them when majority of the hundreds of negs are from numpties who paid $1 for something and aren't happy because it's cheap and nasty. Apparently for $1, you should be getting top quality top of the line!

That came across wrong....

I didn't mean to suggest it's all Vistaprint's fault... I just meant that it's common for a seller to contact the buyer and offer a resolution, and it's also common for some businesses to just provide the solutution immediately, so some buyers have banked on that when they do things like this, while never having to open a PP dispute etc.

Re: please checkout my last negative i recieved

Ive noticed the same thing.

Gone are the days when if you posted by 6pm it would be delivered the next day if Metro to Metro. Interstate Metro Vic to Syd was generally 2 days.  The red street posting boxes used to have the delivery times on them, that has since been removed.

NOW.....

Metro to Metro (posted Ashwood to Doncaster 15 mins away) .....7 days

Got fed up with all the "late" deliveries, now I shame them on FB. Not that it does much good, but I'm sure those in power would be watching the skyrocketing complaints.

Sometimes, what I don't get, I post Vic to NSW, gets there in 3 days. Post something else local delivery, takes 5+ days not including weekends.

Then there was the red card the postie dropped 6 doors down. Just lucky it was outside my neighbour's house who is a friend of ours.

Had my daughter's school photos posted. They arrived in a very thick, strong cardboard envelope, stamped in red with "Photos enclosed, please do not bend". So what does my postie do...... put them at the front door? NO,  leave a red collection card......NO

What my postie did so forcibly roll the cardboard, shove it half in where the newspapers go and leave it sticking out in the rain .......photos ruined ๐Ÿ˜ž And just to make it worse, the jerk at AP when I rang asked what they were posted in, explained the above, he smart **bleep**ly replied "it needed to be in a strong envelope" I said " it was" he said, "was it bendable" I said "well yes, but it had to be really forced" here's the smart **bleep** reply. "well, it's bendable then". I also said " it was stamped with "Do Not Bend..." His reply "well they don't take any notice of it".  Really pee'd off. $55 dollars down the drain and nothing but smart **bleep** replies from AP.

Service is really quite disappointing ...........The old saying "what goes up, must come down."     Postage goes up, services comes down!
