postage fees

Hi i need some informaiton regarding cheap postage in australia. i sell mobile phone accessories like cases, earphones, combine items etc which are not very heavy. they all in very light weight and everytime australia post charge me 6$ or 7$, which is no good at all. if i sell an item for $9.99, i am not getting any profit after postage packaging and cost price.

I heared of postage stamps or tickets can be used for such cheap posting.

i need to know how to use these stamps?

do you need to go to post office?

can you just stamp these on the package ans left in Post office box.

please help me out with the cheap postage.

When your items are packaged up ready to send if they are over 20mm thick then they cannot travel by large letter rates.

They are then subject to the parcel rates you are already seeing.

If you can get them safely packaged under 20mm thick then you can use letter rates, probably 2x $1 stamps.

If you mean the "Postage Paid" stamps then to use these you need to have a business account with Aust Post and they have to be lodged over the counter, where they are checked and counted and billed to your account card.

These items cannot be dropped into a red street box.

Your items for the most part are going to be too thick to be sent as large letters
