It seems the latest Auspost price rise (Oct last year!) was not well publicised.
I send a lot of mail as international letters and they have completely removed the 125g threshold and raised the price, so anything between 51g and 249g now costs $6.20 whereas before anything up to 125g was $4.70. I didn't realise and kept posting at the old rate (as I use stamps) but all were delivered.
On the subject of US sellers, in particular, i am getting rather tired of those that have incorrect shipping charges on their listings...if i am interested in an auction, i will always contact them first now as i did get burned a few times with winning then they turn around and increase the postage to some outrageous amount. they come back with some lame excuse about the postage calculator not working properly...then in the new auctions they list, it's still at the wrong rate. i ship internationally and i manage to get it right so why can't they? also the response from ebay customer support when you raise the issue with them is pretty much....tough cookies, you'll just have to work it out between yourselves. it's really not good enough.
righto....rant over...keep calm and carry on ebaying 😄

What point is there in dragging up a post approaching it's first birthday just to moan about AP charges?

My postal book from AP shows this price since July 2012, so hardly new I think.

Yes, postal charges go up every 6 months as they always done. I cannot believe some people still find it surprising.

As magpie has only ever posted twice on these boards, at least once of which was OVER A YEAR ago, I suspect they don't regularly read the boards.
There are plenty of ways to contact a member, especially when you have their ID.
