problems with combined invoice

twice this week now, i have created a combined invoice, with just a single postage charge.
The invoice comes up with the right totals for the items and the single postage, and the customer gets the right invoice, but when they click on pay it now, it comes up with just a random amount to pay based on just one or 2 of the items. I have done heaps of combined invoices, so I know we are doing the right thing. Any ideas

Ok, think we got an answer from the customer, apparently it doesnt work when they try to pay via mobile. But when she went to the computer it worked fine. Good be an app issue.
If you run into this, ask them how they are paying.

I found this in the ebay blog site where people could not pay combined invoices on iphones:
There is a way around it on your phone.
If you go right to the bottom of the app page there are some links - one of them is "classic site" or "classic view".......if you use this, it works

I've lost count how many times I've had issues with Combined invoices over the last few months, so now when I send them I send a separate message explaining there are issues with the mobile app & so if possible they are better to use a desktop to pay if possible - I had 3 on Thursday. Have had several customers who don't have access to a desktop, so the way around it I found is to send them a Request to Pay via PayPal & then once paid I mark their order accordingly.
All very inefficient & looks quite unprofessional. I explain it's an eBay issue, but I'm sure many Buyers think it's my fault.

Awesome, brilliant, thank you so much - will add to my message for Buyers getting Combined invoices - hopefully this will save a lot of headaches, messages & wasted time

Umm that is not available from the ebay App? that is only available from ebay mobile.

Oh now hbh, you've spoilt my day Here I was thinking there was a solution !!! Damn !!!
My dad had a few favourite sayings, which I've tried to use throughout my life - one of which was 'If a jobs worth doing it's worth doing well' - oh how I wish eBay had heard of it !! Why release something that just doesn't work properly - they should have kept it under wraps until it had been perfected - specially when I believe it is aimed at a generation who tend to be impatient - they want it & they want it now. I'm quite sure, when the app doesn't work they give up. More & more I have buyers who purchase several items and pay individually. I can't sleep at night if I rip them off for the added postage, it's such a pain and causes added work/wasted time. Aaah, I'd better not get started on all that

the new upgrade for the ipad app is absolutely ruined. What was a half decent app is now just terrible. The app is littered with stupid collections as is the normal ebay site. you should read all the 1 star reviews in the app store.
Just now I have had someone pay for individual items even though I sent a combined invoice to them yesterday with discounted postage. I can only assume they are paying from the App.

It's got me beat, why they have to keep fiddling, especially when most of the time they don't actually improve things, they just make them worse.
Personally I just stick to my laptop, no problems, it's the customers I feel sorry for, well us Sellers too, in the sense I'm sure many buyers think we just don't know how to issue Combined post invoices, without realizing the whole mess is eBays creation.
Makes it so much harder for Sellers to ensure the Buyer has a Good Experience !!
