I have never (until now) seen the entire page with no one giving feedback, maybe page 2 but no not much action. what is the deal?

With nearly 5,000 feedback are you really bothered about receiving more? I find that most of my buyers leave feedback then once they do I leave it for them and archive the transactions. If they haven't left any by about day 50 I just leave it for them and archive, I don't keep looking to see if they have left me any or not.

That is a very interesting observation. Wether it really matters or not, it is helpfull to follow trends as this gives insights into buyer attitudes etc. helping to tailor our businesses to suit changing circumstances.
If buyers are leaving less feedback, it indicates to me that their care factor for ebay is reducing in a similar way to sellers. The sense of community and common purpose that once set ebay users apart from other sites is rapidly disappearing. This is probably due to a combination of factors including
* Ebay targetting a younger demographic, who want it now at the cheapest price, and dont care about any follow up.
* Ebays policy decisions of the last couple of years which pit buyers against sellers, rather than encouraging them to work together.
* Ebay doing its best to convert the site to an online shopping mall with cheap, new items. Most other online shopping sites dont have a feedback system. You just put the item in your cart, you pay, it gets delivered, end of story.
I,m sure others could add to the list.

lol yep still a little fuzzy.
I have found that the rate of feedback directly correlates with sales. Less feedback less sales.
I find it very interesting that for a while my monthly feedback will almost push up to 250 / month. and then all of a sudden drop back to 200 / month, which has been the norm for about 12 months
