Hello,
My very first sale on this ID has got stuck. I've decided to start a new account and keep my other one for buying, so I have sold a few things and never had a problem before.
The transaction has said 'payment pending' for nearly 3 days now. I'm sure the buyer will be getting cranky. I've emailed him to tell him what is going on, but no response. He has over 3000 FB at 100% so is a great ebayer.
The item is July 19th 1951 Memorial - Waterside Workers Union Protest...
Any advice, please?

Yes, no need to get too hysterical. I've had that payment pending thing once too and after a few days it went through. Just make sure to keep your buyer informed of what's going on and that you're not out to scam them or anything. It probably shows as payment pending on their account too.

:^O I'm not quite hysterical yet, just confused.
The buyer got back to me just now and tells me the payment went through and it's saying 'unclaimed' from his end.
I'm thinking it got caught up in the 'upgrade' when all the double payments happened.
he's amenable to cancelling the whole thing and starting again.
I might just do that. The whole transaction is worth $10. :^O

if the payment is unclaimed, it usually means your paypal account is not linked to your ebay account on that ebay ID.
Did you open an new paypal account for this new ebay ID?
That can take up to a week for it to all go through. Once you notice the *funds deducted from your account* then enter that amounts into the confirmation page of paypal, etc etc etc....
Then the two accounts will be linked, and payments will go through.
OR: your email address could be wrong.

Have you upgraded your Paypal account to a Premier one? A personal account is not sufficient for selling.

BA The OP has made a sale earlier in January and has stated so in their opening post

Yes, thanks, I'm aware of that P but depending on the type of payment sometimes it is possible to receive money via Paypal for sales even with a personal a/c and it's not until a cc payment comes in that people realise they cant accept them, or wonder why they cant. There are a lot of sellers happily receiving payments on personal accounts until a problem arises, or until Paypal catches up with them, purely because they dont know they should upgrade.

You can see why I'm confused. I have a fully verified Business account, not just a premier account, another sale has gone through with no problem and I've checked all the emails etc to make sure they're exactly correct.
I can only assume it's gremlins at work.
I've decided life is too short to worry about this any further. :^O
Thanks everybody for your advice. I appreciate it.

I know you were all holding your breath, so I thought I'd tell you I finally got this sorted out, and everybody is happy.
There was twice a problem with the email address.
Thanks for all the advice received.
Paypal were really good and I was talked through checking the old listing by pretending to relist again, and lo and behold there was a garbage email address.
Buyer repaid with the old information not the correct email address I sent him.
