Hi there, I recently received a neutral with the comment 'Postage a bit costly', we only charge 50 cents handling which are obliged to do to cover some of the costs. I told them to blame Australia Post.
I had a look at this persons feedback left for others and there were several neutrals and a negative.
Because of all these comments, I decided it wasn't worth having someone like this as a customer and therefore blocked them.

A 50c handling charge is more than fair. We sometimes have a $5 handling charge for really bulky products. As a seller, you have been upfront with costs. The buyer should have no problems re-delivery charges as they have accepted this when they confirmed their purchase.
You will bump into some very miserable people in retail. I woud agree with you that it is probably not worthwhile to have them as a customer. Imagine if something beyond your control went wrong? i.e. couriers dropped the box. They'll expect a Royal pumpkin carriage at their door step to escort them to a Ball where they are to be publicly honoured with a replacement and full refund.

Did your listing provide a visible postage cost that the buyer could see prior to bidding/purchase? If so, the buyer has agreed with/accepted the postage cost published by making purchase of the item, they shouldn't be complaining or leaving neutrals/negs IMHO. If the postage costs were beyond their expectations, they shouldn't have made the purchase.

Postage is clear on the listing so you could probably have a go at ringing ebay & asking for the removal.
To be honest though, your response in capitals with multiple apostropies, doesn't make you look terribly professional.
Click n send is cheaper than AP satchels so not sure why you aren't using that when appropriate considering your volume of sales.

Did you explain the handling fee in the listing? Maybe then the buyer may have understood
50 cents is fair, but blaming Australia Post in caps in feedback for your 50 cent handling charge doesnt make you look too good shifting the blame
That neutral wasnt worth the fuss, plenty of others have had worse over cheaper items

They're not apostrophes, but exclamation marks. ๐

You will get these and low DSRs even if you charge below postage cost. I would not worry about it.
In your reply to the feedback (if you felt to compelled to reply) I would have confined it to something factual along the lines of "Postage charged at actual cost + 50 cents handling charge for packaging materials" or similar. The buyer bought the item at the specified price and then complained about it. There is nothing you can do to avoid these situations unfortunately.

If they complained about the shipping cost & gave you nuetral feedback they probably also scored you 1 or 2 stars for postage. Just do free shipping. Then they won't be able to rate you anything less than 5 stars for postage & handling. (In fact ebay does this automatically for you) Putting a shipping charge often risks your DSRs too much in turn lowering your search rankings.
