reimbursement of listing fees

I have cancelled a sale because of non payment of buyer. ebay has refunded the final fee but hit me up for a new insertion fee. It's only $8 but i think it's a bit rich see as i have not benifited by the sale and have to go through the process again. also i looked at the non paying buys page and noting appears negativly about being a non payer.

Re: reimbursement of listing fees

If you go through the unpaid item process it cancells the transaction as if it had never taken place, you would have paid the listing fee if nobody had purchased it which is now the case.

If you relist and the item sells then your initial basic listing fee (not any extras) will be refunded.

As most people make maximum use of the free listings it isn't usually a problem as a refund of nothing is exactly zero lol. You must have listed more than your free listing quota or have used some extra features if you paid an $8 listing fee.

An unpaid item strike does not show on a buyer's account but it is there and most sellers block bidders who have more than one strike from bidding on their listings.
