selling internationally not visible

I setup an auction that has been going for over 3 days. It is listed as International shipping, shipping prices set etc but is ony visible on ebay.com.au

I have read on here that there's a 24 hour wait period, but it's been almost 80 hours. Is this normal? I feel like cancelling the auction as this is a bit ridiculous.

Any ideas?

If you have revised the item a few times then it takes a while for them to appear back in search results every time you do so.

The point about saying you have lost weight is that it is not an effective selling tool no matter how many sellers may say it in their listings, nobody, particularly women, want it pointed out to them that they need to lose weight to be as slim as you! Much more effective to say that you really loved those jeans but now you have put some added weight on they no longer fit. It is 101 in the psychology of selling.

re vanity sizing:  This is quite common in clothing, have you not heard of sizing up or down?

Tagged size/actual size are 99% of the time different.

Postage from the US to Australia is more than postage from Australia to US

The actual fedback score has nthing to do with anything.....it is the feedback score AS A SELLER that has a bearing on seling overseas.

There was a discussion here recently about sellers needing to sell ten items to qualify for international sales. When I noticed that you only had left four feedbacks as a seller it occured to me that is probably why your listing did not appear. Nobody seems to have come up with a more practical answer yet.  So purely for interests sake how many items have you sold?

Your feedback score determines your ranking according to best match. it affects your visibility in search results.

It means you will not be seen by many people as they usually give up after a page or two of searching.

And when you look at it from the point of view of an American buyer it places you at a disadvantage.

They can buy the same item from somebody in the USA for say 10 dollars and ten dollars postage. It arrives in a couple of days.

Or they can buy from you for ten dollars and pay 35 dollars postage and take two weeks to arrive.

Which one would you buy?

The postage cost from USA to Australia is not relevant to this discussion.

I have heard of it and it is another point that reduces interest from overseas.

Everybody in the rag trade knows that American sizes are lies.

So why would I take a chance on an item with VERY EXPENSIVE postage to take a chance on sizing when I can buy the same item

from the USA for a lot less hence reducing the risk. and getting it faster.

Yes and that just reinforces the problem above. so if they buy from you and they do not fit it will cost them a lot more to return the item so they are even less likely to bid.

The actual feedback score has nothing to do with anything.....it is the feedback score AS A SELLER that has a bearing on seling overseas.

The feedback rating score has a lot to do with where you appear in search results as the system favours tose with huge scores, then locals, then little sellers like us.

Nothing to do with us just the vagaries of best match.

And if you have sold less than ten items you can not list internationally.

THAT HAS A BIG IMPACT ON YOUR INTERNATIONAL VISIBILITY!!!

Sorry for trying to help.
