Since ebay introduced their offer of 30 free listings per month I have been using it; yesterday (3.1.2013) I wanted to upload twenty items with turbolister; only ten were uploaded, for the rest it said that I had exceeded my monthly limit; never heard of this before !!! Checking on ebay etc I could not find anything execpt general information; following ebay's instructions in these to find my limits ( all selling -> account limits or on the sellerdashboard) there were no links or information re my limits to be found anywhere. Complete blank. At the bottom of my 'all selling' page there is a reference to the 30 free lsitings, simply stating "used 10, left 20". Even trying to relist an unsold item results in the same message re account limit displayed. I phoned ebay this morning, just to be told some general bla bla about them updating and reviewing, which really meant nothing to me. received an email later saying " ...the current limits will not be eligible for appeal until after 30-Jan-13. You are welcome to write back on 30-Jan-13 for another review. This should provide enough time for some recent sales to be delivered and feedback received. At that time, we'd be happy to review your account and, if possible, adjust your selling limit to allow additional activity to take place. In the meantime, we encourage you to continue to build a positive selling history on eBay and to follow all selling policies. You can also monitor your performance in your seller dashboard to ensure that you are maintaining your excellent service to buyers, and keeping your account in good standing."
Ebay is advertising and promoting its first 30 listings per month FREE OF FEES ! So what happened to that ???? I can list only ten items, let alone get to the 31st item to pay the listing fee for !!!! THIS IS FALSE ADVERTISING ! ebay just turns around and says "no"; I actually have to contact ebay on 30. January to appeal and get at least the limit of the first 30 listings free! WHAT KIND OF CON IS EBAY RUNNING HERE ????

Goodness, the OP might sell a lot of stamps and banknotes tonight after that lesson on how to obtain funds legally through Paypal from the OP's sales.

k1ooo-slr-sales...
wouldn't YOU then have to deliver the item to yourself ?
I suppose you would have to do an INR. As the seller didn't post, you should win. And then Paypal would refund you from the ihatepp account. As it would all the other buyers.
Zero sum game, unfortunately. But that would be a lot of non-performing seller reports, so may have a result in the end.

what if all the funds that went to the ihatepp account were spent on buying things rather than being transferred to a bank account, thus converting the OPs misdirected payments into goods? PayPal would refund, but might have trouble getting the funds from ihatepp . . . .and then the OP was the one who nominated ihatepp as the account for payment.
Oh what a tangled web we weave . . . . . . 😉

There wouldn't be a problem if the OP was honest in their dealings

Actually bank transfer is a preferred payment method in Germany and it costs nothing within the euro zone and only a few pence if you use a UK bank account so that in it's self is not suspicious, as they say that is for European buyers.
However it is about the only thing that does not raise a red warning flag high lol.

Well ! Well ! Quite a few replies/comments, but most of them have nothing to do with the issue of the selling limit imposed on me. So here is a quick recap, and concentrate on issues at hand, please:
1. When I phoned ebay I asked repeatedly for reasons as to why the limit was imposed, but was not given even the slightest hint of any reason. So: NO REASON; so I have done nothing wrong and there is also nothing I could or should do to have it increased.
2. ebay's criteria for the 30 free listings state:
"To qualify for 30 free listings per month members must have a Registered Address in Australia, and must not be a PowerSeller, registered as a business or a Store subscriber. Listings must be single quantity and not fall within Excluded Categories."
I meet these criteria in all aspects, but still cannot list more than 10 items.
3. There is no information to be found anywhere in ebay policy that would reduce this amount of 30 listings. I also asked for such information in my phone call and wanted a link provided to it (if there was one) in the email I was going to receive from ebay; no further info/link was provided.
4. If there are other criteria, why does ebay not publish them (as in point 2 above)? Why can ebay not give me a reason for the limit imposed on me ? Am I not entitled to knowing it ? What is ebay hiding ???

As i explained before it really is very simple, people with low FB for selling have Monthly selling limits on their account. The info is available if you go to your My eBay on the top in "All Selling" section, it will show that you have limit of 10 tems.
Then there are various Listing Offers offered to various sellers; it used to be free listing for 99c start auctions, now it is 30 free listings. Obviously, your Monthly selling limits will not allow you to list more than what ever your limit is.
You can ask for your Monthly selling limits to be lifted, but for that you have to have high policy compliance, which you do not have.
If you manage to get your Monthly selling limits lifted to over 30, then you will get 30 free, and will have to start paying when you list the 31st.

When you spoke to ebay you were talking to a call centre employee who can see pretty well the same information you can see.
They would not know why you had been restricted. Trust and Safety will be the ones who have restricted your listings, it will have nothing to do with the listings being free or not.
As you claim you have moved most of your selling over to QS and seem to like them so much why bother listing on ebay at all.
Just a couple of facts you seem to have got wrong too.
Sellers do not have to offer Paypal, they just have to offer one of three safe payment options so you could offer Paymate or merchant credit card if you have accounts.
As to your extra delivery charge for those using Paypal, technically you can insist that Paypal users pay extra for registered post but you can only charge the actual cost of registration on top of your non registered quote, not an overinflated registered quote like yours..

You are wrong !! read my first post re the limits: there was and is nothing like that to be found in my "All selling" and neither in my seller dashboard !!! What part of that do you not understand ????
