Re: sick of buyers complaining

I would post out each item individually (as that is what they payed for) and report them to ebay for feedback extortion.

I think to get full protection from paypal (for each item) that is what you need to do now anyway, assuming each has tracking, etc...

Cheers, Dylan

Re: sick of buyers complaining

My take on this is that it's feedback extortion.

They are threatening you to get something that is outside of what you are offering in the listing.

If true, then you would be able to have any NEG removed by eBay IMHO.

Sorry didn't see that they had received the items. Why not just repay whatever the difference is minus any extra costs...

Re: sick of buyers complaining

I have this on my listing also but very rarely do they bother to read it. However come the new system in may I will not be refunding and I will put a notice on each listing saying so.

Re: sick of buyers complaining

All our BIN items are "free" post so the invoicing system does not allow for discounting to combine postage.

So we quite often include a little something extra as well just to compensate for this. So far no complaints!

I would point that out to the buyer if you haven't done so already too.

When you posted the items, did you send them all in one envelope/parcel - thus saving you some postage?

If so, I would send them a very  polite email saying of course you will refund the extra postage - less the paypal costs - and remind them that you had to pay extra paypal fees for individual payments.    Softly softly wins the game.

Or did you send all the items separately?

Yes it is feedback extortion - you can go that way but it means an unhappy buyer.

And of course you can still report the email - Smiley Wink

that's irrelevant really.

It was a nice thing to do though.

However as Dylan said, you needed to send each item individually as this is what the buyer paid for.

If you sent combined postage, you really do owe her the price difference in postage costs

However, in addition to that, I'd still be reporting them to eBay for feedback extortion, but you really do need to refund the difference if you didn't provide what was paid for. (ie indiovidual postage)

Re: sick of buyers complaining

pay pal fees should have been built into the item cost. They're an operating expense unrelated to PayPal or ebay fees.

as such, the refund for excess postage charge should not include an allowance for Paypal fees.
