what do the diferent colour stars mean?

Not really anything in particular, it's just based on the number of feedback "points" a member has. No star for 1-9, yellow star for 10-49, blue star for 50-99...and so on, up to "shooting stars" for very high numbers. 

Mostly, I think it's just a thing to inspire the innate rank hunters to "achieve" the next colour.
