Haven't received that invitation - unless it was buried in the 'selling tips' message which I routinely deleted unread.

Doesn't actually make any difference to me unless I hit my store limit - which I hadn't been planning to do any time soon. I suppose I could deep six the store and save at least a couple of months fees.

Academic if this is invite only, I guess.

Yes, however you still need to pay the debt & the last thing you need is to accumulate debt in uncertain times.  Being debt free is less stressful.

agreed. i never said it was wiped - i did use the term "defer," which is exactly what it is. visiting the link it makes that pretty clear.

I received the email - it's titled: eBay for Business - Fee Support for our Sellers During the COVID-19 Outbreak

Nothing there for me, really - fee deferral might help a few sellers in a temporary pinch, but it's designed to help ebay more than it is to help sellers IMHO, and if they're doing 50k free insertions for most sellers, it'll only be store fees and FVF that accrue which are better paid as you go.

Personally, I'd like to see a something like a "hibernate" option as opposed to "holiday" option. That is, the ability to suspend a store but keep all listings and settings as is, without incurring monthly store fees. Or at least the ability to pay a smaller store fee while on holiday and listings unable to be purchased - there may come a time soon where Aus Post will decrease operation and / or stricter lockdown measures are in place so that no one can go out to post anything for days or weeks. Many councils are doing rent free for businesses during forced lockdown, which is a darn sight more helpful. I don't say this with the attitude that eBay owes anyone this, or that i feel entitled to it (plus I know there are alternatives that don't mean you have to keep the store sub), but I do think it would be more helpful than fee deferral, and I'd like to be pleasantly surprised by ebay at least once in a blue moon. Smiley LOL

I read your post & also had the email from Ebay for both our stores.  I did not mean any criticism.  It was really meant for any newbies on the board.  It would be nice if Ebay waived a months store fee instead Smiley Happy but I don't think that will happen.

Agreed.  For the record, I wasn't speculating about deferring fees, but closing the store temporarily. I just realised this wouldn't be a sensible option anyway. Whatever my sales fell by, they'd fall drmatically further if I slashed my number of  listed items to 40.

Well I'm shocked, this one actually worked for me, it's the first time I've had more then the basic 40 listings since 2017! That said, I still don't have anything more than about half a dozen coins to list so I don't know what to bother with!

The thing i've noticed is that the promotion doesn't show up, but the 40 listings still seem to be frozen e.g. I relisted 5 coins and it's still showing the 33/40 (7 left) I was on before accepting the promo.

Noticed that too,

I'm happy(ish). Without some level of freebies, which I've been getting on my store account since May last year, I would have to start culling. This gives me 3 months, minimum, until I have to.

Where the promo terms say:

Good ‘Til Cancelled listings created during the Promotion Period will be eligible for the promotion only if the listing automatically re-lists within the promotion period.

Does that mean rollovers will be free for the promo period and I won't have to end and relist as they near the end of the 30/31 days?

That is what happened with mine last night. 50 odd rolled over and my available store listings didn't budge.
