why do you hold my funds for up to 21 days now?

i have never been so furious at a website in my life.

the seller has bought AND payed for the item, yet i cannot access it because EBAY and PAYPAL are holding my money for no good reason! i have sold three items recently and have had to message the buyers saying that i cannot SHIP their item BECAUSE I HAVE NOT GOT THE MONEY TO DO SO. 

i dont get who the hell started this STUPID policy, but i expect you to change it immediately. it has to be illegal taking people's rightful money and keepinging it for yourself.

ebay epects me to sell another 19 items before they can 'trust' me enough to give me my money. I DONT HAVE 19 THINGS TO SELL!

i expect these payments, summing up to around 130$ to be released immediatley or i will not sell on ebay every again.

So I sold an item and used eBay postage and I still had to call to get them to release MY funds more than three weeks later. So now I'm canceling my eBay membership, this anti-seller policy will CRIPPLE eBay and I'd be delighted to see that happen.

All you needed to do was ring paypal and give them the tracking number showing the item had been delivered and your funds would have been released.

No point in dummy spitting when a simple phone call would have solved the problem.

Given this policy has been in place for years and only applies to new or infrequent sellers until they have a proven record, I would guess that eBay aren't feeling any material effects. Of the things likely to cripple eBay this would be close to the bottom of the list.

This is not true in my case.  The item I sold was delivered and buyer left positive feedback. Ebay still refused to release funds.

You're on the Australian boards here, perhaps the policies are different in the USA. Anecdotal evidence here suggests that if tracking shows delivery and/or the buyer leaves positive feedback the money will be released.

Maybe try phoning Paypal and see if they will release your money.

As best I can tell, you've replied to message #4 of this topic, which was written in 2014.
Perhaps....just perhaps....information that old may no longer be current or relevant.
Also, you sold a high-value item but have zero sales history as best I can determine, and you have gobbledygook user name with random characters which looks like just the sort of thing a bot might generate - these are red flags.
Also, this is the Australian eBay community, and you seem to be in the USA. You even replied to a user whose ID has 'australia' written in it!
In short, it helps to pay attention to the topics, users, and websites you're replying to, to, and on.
If eBay still haven't released your funds, contact eBay customer support (in your country) and ask why. If they have and you don't know the reason for the delay, contact eBay customer support (in your country) and ask why.

I had someone try to rip me, so holding the funds is excellent, the only difference is a hold, the hold has nothing to do with what the buyer can or can't do, because even if he gets the money the buyer can do it anyway. I don't think your understanding the situation properly, so in saying what I've said the only fight left would be to push for a no hold to rip people off.

Ebay is still working but I was caught out on this holding my money also. I have done boxes of items I had planned to sell on ebay. I personally delivered the goods, wrote feedback, my buyer put on delivered and feedback, and still waiting for the release of my money 12 days later and told I won't get it for another 9 days. I'm now going elsewhere to sell my items, this is appalling.

If you have proof of delivery of the items and the buyer has left feedback indicating they are happy you can ring paypal and they should release your funds immediately.
