I have noticed that the sales in the last 2 weeks have been for nearly all my items that only i have
OR
the items I have dropped to such an abyssmally low price, just to get rid of them, so technically they are loss leaders.

Thank you - very community-minded of you to share this link for 150 free listings. Unfortunately, that is an expired offer that finished on Nov 30.
If anyone can provide the link for a new offer, I would be very appreciative !!
Thanks

That is the most recent link, babydolls shared it a week ago when it was still current, not likely to see another for at last a week or more.

I think if the item sells they refund your listing fee, but if it doesn't, then I suppose you lose it. I had a listing finish it's 3rd relist the other night and this was in the email message:
Your item didn't sell this time around. Why not relist it? We'll refund your insertion fees if your item sells |
Given that most of my items get relisted multiple time before they sell, no way I'd be forking out for a listing fee! Not for a $10 item with postage included. I'd be wasting my time.

My sales have dropped almost 80 % since the beginning of the year. It seems to be to do with the best match algorithm ebay uses to prioritise search results. No longer will your listing appear on the first page irrespective of price or end time. Ebay is now designed to satisfy the big corporate sellers and the flooding chinese sellers. The latest performance selling standards have increased this problem since it unfairly penalises small sellers. I am a 10 year seller with 100% feedback and yet I have recently had selling limits placed on my account due to high defect rate that was caused by a technical fault in ebay that precluded my exclusion lists working. I have given up trying to sort this issue out with ebay customer support. They are useless !!!!!
My solution is to migrate all my listings to Amazon. My sales have increased 10 fold in the last month on Amazon. After Xmas I will stop selling on ebay.

dropped of sales could mean various things
dropped of sales of an individual seller, of a specific product, on a specific time, season, in a specific country, of a group of sellers or for all sellers generaly.
who tell that the sales dropped 70% and what exactly it means?
