I have accepted the 100 free lisitings which expire on the 6 January...but I still had quite a few free lisitings from my usual 40 free listings for the month which expired on the 1st January.
I would have thought when I did my new listings that the free listings that are due to expire first would be used first?
Does anyone else have this problem ?
Thank you

Sorry.

The special offers ALWAYS get used before standard freebies. ALWAYS.
Well so far my listings have ALWAYS used the earliest expiry date first. That was the OP's experience as well.
While using my extra 200 freebies the other day my remaining standard 40 free listings did not get used. As they had a later expiry date that seems to be a better idea.
it seems to have been a mistake this time around. Or have Ebay changed the rules again??? The OP was concerned that the earlier expiry date ones were not being used and I agree with him/her that it seems wrong.
I remember an offer that went over the month and it used my regular ones first.

ALWAYS.
In my experience. And the OP's, it would seem. Otherwise they wouldn't be complaining. I have never had my standard 40 freebies used before the special offer ones. EVER. As you have acknowledged - my remaining standard 40 free listings did not get used. And definitely not in this case. This month I will end up with 21 unused standard freebies. BUT I will get substantially more listings for nix by utilising the offer.
Something about wanting to have a cake after you have eaten it. eBay is not The Magic Pudding.

Like dave, whenever I have had promo freebies in addition to the 40 standard, the promos have been used first, without exception. In saying that, the promos have always been offered earlier on in the month for me and expired before the end of the month. I'm not sure I've ever been offered (or taken advantage of an offer), for extra freebies that straddled two months.
