why no more 40 free listings?

the new month changed over today but I didn't get 40 free listings, was this a one time only thing?

Because the ebay system mostly runs by USA time and are behind Aus, the 40 reset the first or second of the month.

However they don't always show until you list one, then it will show how many you have in selling - promotions.

And no, not a one time promo, it's on going until further notice.

My new months quota has been showing at least since I got up this morning at 7.30.

Either, way, it's today everywhere in the US now, even on the west coast, so they should be showing up.

OP, is it a different account as this one you are showing as a store and stores don't get the 40 freebies as far as I know?

Basic stores get 200 listings.   Featured stores get 500

The listing tally doesn't show until you've done your first listing for the month.

I haven't listed or relisted anything yet this month and mine still showed up early in the day.
