you dirty boy statue

I've have this very old statue for 30 years and all that time searching I have never seen one sold

I am just wondering how the best way to guarantee the whole world sees it on the top page on ebay every time. This is so rare that it could go for anything.

If it a  'SIGNED C FOCARDI LONDON 1878 "YOU DIRTY BOY" 63CM (H)'  figurine, Gowans Auctions sold one for $3600 last year.

Anyway, you can't guarantee that it gets on page one of every search, that would be unfair to everyone else who wants their listing on page one. All you can do is put in the appropriate catagory and describe it well, and most importantly, give it a title that people looking for this kind of thing will look for.

You can't.

The best you can do it use your keywords wisely, use item specifics and be generous and informative with your item description. You could pay for a subtitle but that is not going to get you any higher up the search chain I don't think.

Can you send me the link to the auction.

If it is a statue and not just a figurine I imagine it would cost a fortune to send it even within Australia never mind overseas. There is also the risk of it being damaged or if the buyer opens a not as described dispute and it id found in their favour you would have to pay for the cost of them returning it.

I would imagine if it is indeed rare and valuable that you would be safer selling it through one of the International auction houses.

First thing I would be doing is getting it valued by someone who knows about these things. The last thing you want is to sell it for way under value.

Good luck!

I have a Dirty Boy Statue I received in 1969 from my aunt who got it in approx 1890. It was a gift to her from her husband. Some blemishes. It is a boy holding his dress by the hem looking at a frog. I can find no markings. Any ideas of value

As implied by the name, she is washing him.

No frogs with that one.

Don't know what you have.
