yup no bites again...

a continuing subject on these forums, but I have only noticed this happen once before and that was around oct last year.  I am getting very minimal sales....or even bites

I have 2 user ids and have started listing on both again recently. ( I usually favour one or the other as it easier for me not having to log in and out.)

I know post just went up but I mostly use satchels to keep more affordable for all states.  as another poster said has ebay lost its appeal to buyers?  I know its lost appeal to sellers but its early may, not school hols anymore and seems to be an absolute lull... maybe I've just lost the knack..

yup no bites again...

HI

After being ripped off by a purchaser i can understand why some sellers prefer not to be paid thru paypal.I had an item returned to me with the most expensive parts missing and paypal still paid out the purchaser who put in a false claim and  stole the items .

i did everything paypal asked me to do ie photo the item and get a report from a licenced workshop and send it to them, yet they still refunded the purchaser

now after i complained yet again they are now requesting i get a police report which i will do.....why make me do the previous things then?

this wastes so much of your time

sellers may have to  resort to listing future items as pick up only(if purchaser needs them posted they can organise it themselves ) or put sold as is in the listing

luckily for me most people are fairly honest and do the right thing however paypal opens the door wide open to people that want to benefit from false claims

I am unable to find the completed listings that you are suggesting. Whereabouts do I find this?

point take re paypal, however I only say "preferred" payment is BD

seriously 30c +2.4% + the almost 10% ebay fee all adds up when everyone pays  by paypal.  so when the occasional buyer sees my preference and they do bank deposit that is great and I do appreciate it.

things have improved ever so slightly on the buying front but still not how it used to be.  any other suggestions?  I would think the colder weather would have more people in front of the computers etc buying but perhaps its different items they're purchasing.

I have had quite a few BD payments lately. Admittedly the buyers are those who I talk to regularly with on the boards. And it would be worse than a neg to be ostracised.

But that really reinforces the point - these buyers have a reasonable idea of what I'm like (yet they STILL trust me). I am not somebody they have never interacted with before.
