why do I sometimes get a message from EBay to say that there has been a new log-in device, same pc

Several times now I have received an email from EBay to say that there has been a new device logged onto my account. It gives an approximate near enough local area. But I know it was me and I am using the same Laptop. I was wondering if updates to Firefox or to Windows 10 is causing this. Fortunately, when it has occured, I am the user logging on.

Not a big deal up to now, one day it might be someone else and it is good to know that we are being watched over. Just want to know why if I can

Not really sure, if you change browsers maybe this may cause it, although it ihas never happenned to me.

Are you sure it is from eBay, not some scam?

So long as you never give information if it is requested it will be okay, I would change my passwrod just to be on the safe side.
